Please pray for me and my children. I’m so discouraged and I’m feeling defeated. Our world has grown so cold and heaven seems so far away. I receive so much hate simply for asking for prayers. Prayers are ALL I NEED. I’m a single mother and I’m struggling to provide for my sons both are autistic and I’m overwhelmed! I lost my job because I declined the vaccine. I declined due to my heart condition I had a massive heart attack and I suffer from lupus. I am waitressing now but not making nearly enough to get by. Every month is a battle. I can’t go back to my job at the hospital because mandates are still in place. Jesus help me to overcome my fears. Because as I struggle I am fearful. Struggling to provide for me and my children is scary Struggling to buy groceries. Struggling to pay rent. BUT I trust you Lord. Jesus hear my prayers. Even though I’m discouraged I will keep faith! ❤

I have been struggling with my Son for a while now, it's been heartbreaking and painful, I've tried everything until I listened to a Priest give a homily one day while scrolling looking for an inspiring catholic video to watch. He said that if you want God to answer you and fix your family problems (referring to children in particular) then you need to start praying for others (families) that are in your same position and ask the Lord to help them in their struggles and deliver them from their suffering. I tried doing this and within days things began to take a miraculous turn! Please give it a go. Praying for you, may God bless you and be with you!
Please try not to be discouraged. Keep praying, and if you have a chance to look for another job similar to what you had, then do it. I lost my job at the university because I wouldn’t take the jab or PCR. At my new job at an FSSP parish, which I love, I’m not making enough either. I keep praying for all of us in this position. The consoling thing here for me is that I know we did the right thing. I will pray for you, don’t be discouraged. ✝️🙏🏻📿
Nothing is impossible without God. You will find the strength you need through Jesus. I can attest to this first hand. He has and is helping me through some major difficulties in my life just by keeping me sane and even so I can cope.

Bishop Sheen is inspiring! I can remember when he was on television (I was a little girl, I am 75 now). Thank you for this beautiful reflection.
I remember my family gathering around our one small black & white TV to watch Bp Sheen every Sunday Afternoon. That kind of Family Time is sorely needed in this Secular Modernist country with talk of rights for all but espouse the killing of the the innocent in the Womb. It’s a Modernist smokescreen to hide the Evil growing in the World and even within Our own Catholic Church unchecked and almost entirely undisputed even by a so called Catholic President and Catholic Elected Officials. Lord Help Us get through this tangled confusion of conflicting values and bring Sanity and Reason back into the hearts and minds of confused citizens in our Country and World now. Ave Maria
@@Aswaguespack I was taught the Latin phrase Stat crux dum volvitur orbis. This phrase emphasizes the idea that the world revolves but the Cross stands still. Eliot makes this point also in The Four Quartets when he calls it the “still point of the turning world.” Our world cannot be understood without the Cross of Christ. Bishop Sheen made it so clear.

But there is little told about those whose hearts are fully intent on following the Lord; parents who teach their children well. As the saying goes, “it ain’t over til it’s over”. We must have hope and we must pray with enthusiasm.

I love this channel for two reasons. First, you keep us updated on events in the Church, and more importantly, offer the spiritual wisdom of those men and women far more advanced in holiness than me.
You show us things which are an inspiration. We are inspired by the decency, love, humility and holiness of these profoundly spiritual Roman Catholics. I have seen errors in my own thinking because of this, and it has helped me to become a better Catholic.
I believe your work to be nothing less than an act of love. I am regularly enlightened and have the greatest respect for you. Know that you and your family are included in my prayers.
I can confidently say to all who read this, pray the rosary daily for the great graces which God has for you, and pray for those who need it most.

I love these classic old "Catholic Hour" radio programs broadcast so long ago. Thank you for sharing.
I've debated against a lot of self proclaimed intellectuals and I've learned that hardly any of them have actually read the Bible. They only know a selection of cherry picked quotes, usually taken out of their Biblical and historic context, interpreted with zero understanding, with intent to make themselves look smart because they can bash God with fancy words. To beat them in a debate, all you need is to put their quotes into their actual context, explain the historic context which they've never even thought about and if that's not enough, show them some Biblical archeology videos of the actual locations and the findings therein. When you've done that, it'll be painfully clear to all the listeners that the so called intellectuals are actually ill informed fools, who have nothing but ornate sentences, subjective opinions and vitriol to offer. They'll leave the scene, seething with anger and frustration, or if they're smart enough, they'll doubt themselves, their intellectual superiority and the correctness of their beliefs.

@@yarrlegap6940 In my experience, they're quite happy to engage, soon as you express any degree of religious conviction, which to them is like an open invitation to ridicule. If they have reason to believe they're going to get an easy win, they'll actually want as much audience as possible, in order to maximize your humiliation.

This is so insightful, and I have considered this many times myself especially the question that non believers often ask about why is God allowing a,b,or c whther they be part of the intelligencia or not my response is you don't believe in God so why would you ask such a question.
And listening to this also makes me think of the vers in Corinthians that God chooses the foolish things to confound the wise and he often uses what and who the world considers foolish these days- the young/children, the old or older, people who do not have a university degree or they do but it is related to religion and faith so they don't count in the worlds eyes .............

I am guilty of relinquishing my frustrations and sufferings as proclaiming god inept and un loving and flat out non existent. I realize god doesn’t approve of any sin therefore won’t shape morality and a sinless lifestyle around my sinning. Yet I suffer by circumstances more than just what’s not only average but what’s always been known to me. I suffer from drug addiction and physical withdrawal pains from it that make me over take my entire being. I’ve experienced so much along with not only just being defiant but spiritual matters that have made me feel as if I’m going mad and experiencing spells of insanity or divine punishment..all with no explanation or understanding, just guesses and psychological suffering. I think most times to put a bullet in my head if only to quell the constant painful mental and physical sensations that it take me joy and my want to live away. This has been too much and I feel god has cursed me more than some. I’ve been attacked spiritually for running from what was tormenting me,, god saw me flee and must’ve allowed such demonic things. It’s been too long and too much. Life has lost almost all of its appeal and my want to continue living it.. I’m ashamed and disgusted with myself and seek peace even if it’s in an artificial powder I snort to give ,e temporary relief… I used to judge. I don’t now..but cry along with all who’ve suffered. I am not worthy of gods grace. I know that,, but I do believe I’m worthy of life that doesn’t involve manipulation or covert infliction of merciless confusion and psychological torment.. I still have much to learn. I hope I will. I am isolated along another whom is an addict and suffers too and I hate myself for not being able to make their suffering cease.. not only that I’m saddened by the thought that we could’ve been more than angry sad tired lonely unhappy unloved addicts.. god isn’t here it seem yet each time I want to hang myself im complelled to think of love..the love I once knew, love I know love I have yet to experience I am a father..used to think I was a decent one even though improvement was always an option,,now I feel irrelevant and ashamed beyond description… God. Take my life please and I beg you to comfort my family especially my boy , he knows nothing of my pain but I know he he hurts due to his father being absent and my heart aches more than any amount of words can express. So I am wrong to say what I say out of pain.. but I realize that only god truly doesn’t focus so much on exactly what’s being said as people. Do and. At it core he’s pain.. pain and sadness… maybe we can all learn from that That whe o e vents in a. Olorful fountain of vulgarityespair we o us on one fact. The onetruly matters. This one is in pain and could use the care of a human for only god deals out Punishment, sometimes people do to of course.. but

In Genesis 1:27 we find that God created man to His own Image and Likeness. In other words, he was a god-man.
In Genesis 3:4,5, we see Satan challenging God's honesty to Eve and at the same time challenging Eve's IQ ... Intelligence Quotient...
(4) "And the serpent said to the woman: No, you shall not die the death.
(5) "For God doth know that in what day soever you shall eat thereof, your eyes shall be opened: and you shall be as gods, 'knowing' good and evil."
The devil/serpent called God what he, himself, is ... a liar and murderer from the beginning. The implied promise that Adam and Eve would "be as Gods, knowing good and evil", was challenging Who and What God really is.
Once Adam and Eve committed the original sin, the fruit of which was the birth of Cain and Abel, Cain being the one who killed his brother; the era of the god-man was over. There was not a man who was a god, even with a small 'g', to atone to God, with a capital 'G', for their sin. From their own ranks there was no savior. Certainly Satan couldn't/wouldn't save them; and so God, in His loving Mercy, sent His Only Begotten Son to the earth to atone for their/our ... the "intelligentsia" ... sins which have ever since pointed up to us/mankind the lie of Satan that we would become as gods "knowing" good and evil. Had that proved to be true, Adam and Eve would have seen God for Who He really Is, and they would have realized that He/God is not only infinite Love and Mercy, but is also infinite in His Wisdom and Knowledge. That is how Lucifer ended up in Hell, and if we choose to ignore that fact, we also will end up in Hell.
The result of the above, unfortunately, is plain to see in Genesis 5:3:
"And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son TO HIS OWN IMAGE AND LIKENESS," (not God's, his own)...
Now all are born with that original sin on their souls. We must be baptized to get rid of that sin, but unfortunately, Baptism doesn't take away our fallen sinful natures. We are baptized into God's Love and into His Church, but not into His Image and Likeness. That, we must work for.
The moral of the story is that mankind's intelligence couldn't save him. Only his humble and contrite heart, in response to God's merciful Heart, could effect his salvation.
Psalm 50:3~7 help us to realize this:
(3) "Have Mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great Mercy. And according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity.
(4) "Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
(5) "For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me" (mortal sin).
(6) "To Thee only have I sinned, and have done evil before Thee: that Thou mayest be justified in Thy words, and mayest overcome when Thou art judged.(!)
(7) "For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me" (the original mortal sin)."
But what about climate warming?
