That frame is pretty cool, but you want to use a smaller battery nose mounted. They also make a long nosed version that fits longer battery packs. I'd attach a pic of both buuuut can't 🤷🏻♂️
Awesome been waiting! Just not enough videos on the DB7 I bought as a fan of Loren Healy and so wish it was licensed. I’m new to the hobby but this is exactly my interest in comparisons between the realism of both UDR and bashing of Mojave 4S which I also run (depending on repairs 😂). So maintenance would be cool to see as it’s getting noisy. Ya the tires are hard so I wonder about alternatives. The rear clips and the way the body hinges are awkward. The rear swaybar keeps disconnecting so I don’t use it but that is has serious torque twist turning right 😅. I’ve only added some taillights, a large piece of foam behind the front tires to keep out debris, and a small weight under the rear spare to smooth it out. Otherwise I’d like to explore different shock oil and a rear diff locker. Then I’m torn to run a low or high suspension. I’m a casual user but I run thru a 4S kinda quick so I’m ready to try 6S. I don’t bash it but wish I added some body protection like heavy tape for edge scrapes as it seems difficult to buy parts and looks so good! 🙏🏼👊🏼🤙🏼
I have absolutely beat the crap out of those servos. They hold up well. I’ve only had one fail on me. The motor rusted. But I was able to free it up and reuse it.
Lol nice test 👌 i probably wouldnt do that with my rcs but cool to watch my rcs i try to keep them dry i started rcs in the winter and man all the parts i was going threw and bearings and metal parts rusting and seizing i just stay away from all crappy conditions of running....
My man go to Harbor freight USA made silicon gasket maker /clear . black. red color any works they sale all three i say get it their because its like 4.00 dollars a tube way less than other places it works well i love it because you can get it off and it seals like no other
Those look soooo similar to the OG scx10 axle housings, be careful with the motor cleaner it'll light on fire if you don't let it dry all the way. Don't ask how i know.
It is better to try and fail than to have never tried at all. Great video thanks for sharing, we have all been there in this hobby. I have had the best luck waterproofing my receivers by using the thicker plastic baggies that RC parts are shipped in. I find one big enough to put the receiver with all the channels plugged in curl up the antenna loosely and seal the zip top only letting the wire bundle through on one side. Then apply liberal amounts of hot glue directing the glue at the wires so the glue won't melt the plastic bag. As the glue cools smash it all tight. If the baggie is sized right, you can even open the unglued side of the baggie to access receiver. th-cam.com/video/9KoJ7C0w3Es/w-d-xo.html Aprox 50seconds in, testing my method.

That motor was spitting water like a boat! What a torture test.. breakages are expected, but swamp buggy status achieved!
Reminds me of Risky Business... "Alright, who's the u-boat captain" lol
I laughed sooo hard at the epic crossing/water burial hahaha
