I'm obsessed with Alice and the world of Wonderland. I've got 2 Alice quote tattoos and I also collect editions as well, right now I have around 25. You have some really cool editions that I've never seen before. Check out Camille Rose Garcia's illustrated edition it's very creepy and go thick looking but so amazing.
Ok i have never read or watched Alice, I can’t believe I didn’t, I LOVED the quotes and saved many, I’m going to be watching and reading her adventures right away!
QUESTION: I have been thinking about changing my username for all of my social media to something that has to do with books, would that annoy anyone? Does anyone have ideas for usernames? Let me know your honest opinion! I'll do a video when I decide, I was just curious about what people thought! Thanks as usual for all the support!
Hails Hearts Nyc the name doesn't matter to me as long as the content remains just as good. I also like aliceinbookland or maybe HailsReads or Hailsbookventures lol Idk x_x
I don't think I've ever read Alice in Wonderland (unless I did as a really small child) but I intend to read it by the end of this month. Every time I watch your videos I'm reminded of how much I want to read it. Love your channel :) You're one of my favorite booktubers. Keep being awesome!!
Christy Duyao Yes I started it yesterday and it is going so well. Plus it's a really quick read so I'm almost finished with it already. You should definitely read it.
For book lovers I have a series for you and it is my personal All Time Favorite. Everyone should read the Skulduggery Pleasant series it is an amazing series all around
I love the one edition I have illustrated by Camille Rose Garcia. I bought the Snow White and Cinderella books illustrated by her too. I think I'm obsessed. I also have s very nice water colour/acrylic painted illustration edition, by Manuela Adreani. My manga styled artwork edition is full of colour and B&W illustrations by Kriss Sison. Have fun adding to your collection. Not sure if mine will ever be complete.
Great collection the copy I have is an 1987 Marshall Cavendish edition (its a green hardcover) with Tenniel illustrations, I adore Alice in Wonderland it's such a great story!
I really want the Classics Reimagined verision, the one illustrated by Yayoi Kusama, the Salvador Dali one, The annotated Alice 150th Deluxe edition, the Anna Bond one, the Rebecca Dautremer one, the one by Manuela Adreani and finally the one by Maggie Taylor- though this one is pretty expensive so I better start saving lol great collection (:
Ahh got so excited when I saw this video pop up! I just recently put up two big wall shelves to display all the covers of the Alice in Wonderland books I have!! I've been eyeing that pop up addition for about a month, just haven't gotten it yet!
I just got the edition with the Other Classic Works a little while ago. I've never read Alice in Wonderland but I love the Disney movie so I'm sure I'll love the book! That edition with the red pages is absolutely stunning!
I use to have a beautiful red velvet covered edition as a kid and I regrettably got rid of it being a kid and all and not appreciating it's awesomeness.
Wow I love your collection! Don't know if you have it on your wish list yet, but I have The Collectors Library edition. It's a cute pocket size edition, the pages are gold on the outside. Both the stories are in there and also the original illustrations from John Tenniel!
Oh I love the junior illustrated library edition!! I hadn't seen that one before! As for recommendations, I commented a few on one of your most recent videos where you asked for recs. I also just found another one I'd never seen at the thrift store and I just love it! It's Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland published by Parragon in 2009, and it has both Alice and Through the Looking Glass and lovely illustrations (by June Goulding) like on the cover throughout.
Great collection. I love both the books as well. I actually last week on vacation spent 11 hours wallpapering one side of my library with pages from both books and a poem of his i like. I also found an old leather bound copy while antiquing but there is no pub date. But i did a few book hauls recently and a i am filmed in front of my wall. I am planning on getting a mirror in the middle of the wall and i am putting quotes and images from the book in vinyl on the wall too.
Have you read or heard of The Looking Glass House by Vanessa Tait? The author is the great-granddaughter of Alice Little. And she wrote the novel (it is fiction) based on actual stories from her grandfather (Alice's son). It's a very interesting read and maintains a very Wonderland-esque feel but in an adult novel.
Loved this video. Really enjoyed seeing your Alice Collection. Have to say the last one you showed (the pop up book) was my fav, I would love to own it. It is just gorgeous
I have that last McMillan edition! I seriously love it. I'm so obsessed with Alice so I'm totally obsessed with your collection. I have limited space so I just kinda had to pick an edition I wanted. I do have a few books based on Alice though. After Alice by Gregory Maquire for example
I can't believe you don't have the colouring book. My favourite modern illustration is the Benjamin Lacombe. It's a French edition. The drawings are detailed dreamy, surrealist drawings. They're creepy yet cute and doll-like.
Even though you don't speak it there is a Hawaiian language version of Alice in Wonderland and through the looking glass. It's one of my favorite stories. So finding it in Hawaiian just made my day.
I have the classic star edition it's very pretty you should look for it classic star is for Kidz but it has very pretty covers and and they make a very good book summary
I have way to many Alice books to keep track (: I also have a leather bound 150th reprint of Charles original work. My favourite movies would be Disneys 1951 Alice and the Alice in wonderland TV movie of 1999 (:
I used to own the last edition! Then I also had the first one's (Disney version's) Mandarin edition. The cover is different though. Haven't read it in ages. What do you think about the Tim burton remakes?
Ugh this video made me buy the wizard of oz pop up book!!!! It's been in my cart for a week and I absolutely had to buy buy it !!! The Wizard of Oz is my heart !!! 💚
I loooove Alice! I currently have 20 in my collections, and only 2 have the original Tenniel illustrations. I made a deal with myself that i can only get diferent illustrations! If you want i can give you the names or isbn of some awsome ones! Check out Julia Sarda by the way she haas 2 diferent ones that are amazing.
So just cam across your video and was super excited to see someone else that is Alice obsessed.... but I wanted to let you know they do still sell the barnes and noble edition and they have the Through the Looking Glass edition to match it.
Just found your channel, so OBVIOUSLY super late comment! 😊 Love AIW. Have ever seen SyFy's movie "Alice"? It takes a different view on it, but still has ALL the elements of Lewis Carroll's story...I know it isn't a book...but worth the watch if you like Alice...
Look up, Hildebrand, and there is a third book called Alice Trough the Eye of the Needle, its a great book that feels like it was written b Carol himself if he wrote a third book.
I saw this most beautiful german edition of AIW when I was in Germany, with illustrations and all different sized fonts that made it look dead cool. and I was honestly willing to learn german just so i could buy it
You should search for the French version with Benjamin Lacombe illustrations. I don't know if there's an English version but it's the most beautiful edition I ever saw because Benjamin Lacombe is a wonderful illustrator 💙
You should check the one illustrated by Benjamin Lacombe, it is GORGEOUS !! ( there is no english version jjust the french version but you should definitely check the pictures, awesome). xoxo
Hi, I just discovered you and already subscribed! you are very lovely. I was wondering have you read the trilogy All for the Ga,e? If not, I reccommend you do it, the books are very easy to read but are packed with a story that I think you would enjoy :)
Love this video, I have a big collection too including some that you have 😊 , Alice in wonderland is top of my favourite list. The Salvador Dali edition is a beautiful one.
LOVVVE that white one that just says Alice on the front but can’t find it on amazon. I’m trying to forget about it cuz I’m sure it’s over $100 I have that Robert Sabuda pop up book and it’s AMAZING. You can’t see all the detail in this vid but there’s a vid by the publisher that almost does.
I've tried to read the book multiple times, but found myself zoning out and losing interest after 25 pages in. I really want to read it though, because it sounds so magical but i just cant:(
Question: do these books have the original story?? like the pink barnes and nobles one is it the story of the fisrt edition?? because im wanting to buy one with the story of the first edition and not one thats from disney or thats changed by the publishers xxxx any feedback would be perfect!!
Daniella Christofi depends what you mean by original stories. Alice's Adventures Underground is the most original one, but that was not published, that was just a gift to the original Alice Liddel. Any normal copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland will have the full story as it was published in 1865 (he made some edits and changed the name and got a legit illustration when he published it for the world to read).
I'm obsessed with Alice and the world of Wonderland. I've got 2 Alice quote tattoos and I also collect editions as well, right now I have around 25. You have some really cool editions that I've never seen before.

Does anyone have ideas for usernames?
Let me know your honest opinion! I'll do a video when I decide, I was just curious about what people thought!
Thanks as usual for all the support!
Changing your social media names is completely fine. Just do whatever makes you happy and people will still watch your videos.
Hails Hearts Nyc the name doesn't matter to me as long as the content remains just as good. I also like aliceinbookland or maybe HailsReads or Hailsbookventures lol Idk x_x
Hails Hearts Nyc : A likely story, might be a cute username.
Hails Hearts Nyc : pages in thyme- might be nice as well :) good luck with the new name
how about 'hailing pages' or something like that??
i'm also REALLY obsessed with Alice in Wonderland one of my favorite books & movies (besides harry potter of course)
You make me feel so much better for hoarding various edition of Jane Eyre and The Master and Margarita! :)
All of your copies are great! They definitely inspire you to read this amazing story!
I don't think I've ever read Alice in Wonderland (unless I did as a really small child) but I intend to read it by the end of this month. Every time I watch your videos I'm reminded of how much I want to read it. Love your channel :) You're one of my favorite booktubers. Keep being awesome!!

Lisa Sofia is it really worth reading?🤔
Christy Duyao Yes, I definitely think it is!

I did an Alice in Wonderland themed Easter basket for my daughter and put the Alice pop up book in. It is stunning and she absolutely loves it.
I use to have a beautiful red velvet covered edition as a kid and I regrettably got rid of it being a kid and all and not appreciating it's awesomeness.

Oh and I also have future plans of naming a child or pet Alice! After this book and after my grandmother.
Amy McRae I've adopted a white rabbit and named it Alice! 😂
Late to the party but illustrations by Michael Hague are my favourite
Great collection. I love both the books as well. I actually last week on vacation spent 11 hours wallpapering one side of my library with pages from both books and a poem of his i like.
