  • In this video I demonstrate a proces for Chemically Functionalized Carbon fiber. For the test I make two test supercapacitor cells,... one suoercapacitor with normal carbon fiber and one from Functionalized Carbon fiber.

Shouldn't brown smoke be formed in the reaction of these two acids? Why is it colorless?

interesting - what is the molar concetration of the acids before mixing in 3:1? I see that the Nitric Acid is 65%, i've read in literature 6M is commonly used for Nitrogen doping- do you dilute it at all or use as is? Is the H2SO4 1M or more?

Here I use a concentrated nitric and sulfuric acid. 65% nitric and 96% sulfuric.

      nitric acid and ammonia is also good. Carbon fiber > nitric acid, 7h, 85 deg C > 32 - 25% ammonia, 12h, 150 deg C

    Sir well explained
what solution you have added to the electrodes as an electrolyte
And on what metal plates you kept your electrodes for support

2 mol of Na2SO4 better is 2 mol of ZnSO4. The plates which I use are graphite plates and I use for current collectors.

Hello, how can I know that if those supercapacitors made that motor work? Why you dont show how to charge, you dont show what you use for charcing, you dont show how to make that motor work by only the supercapacitor. Maybe you provided the voltage from power supply for make the motor work?? Thanks.

    • @cayrex

Yes, sure you can not know. The only way to know will be that you do it yourself!

I was thinking for most cost effective DIY welding machine polarized capacitor... so something like a 50V or larger DC smoothing capacitor.
