you should have trained your stamina with short hiking at Mt Singai to its church. although it is short, it is quite harsh because it is steep slope all the way up. putting more stress on your knees. for mount serapi, in old days, there was a wooden tower viewing Kuching city direction if you walked until the end from where you guys stopped. now, they constructed a short tower at where you guys stopped, the viewpoint viewing Lundu or Sampadi direction. old tower was dismantled.
