  • Hi all! Here are my 7 big learnings here in Japan. I mostly talked about my ups and downs & personal growth as a person. I originally wanted to just write a blog entry about it, but thought I would share it here. Can't believe I've been here for 7 years! Shookt haha
    If you've been a reader from way back before, thanks for following my journey! ^^
    P.S. I look haggard here because I've been in the process of moving in to my new apartment haha. I literally just finished vacuuming before I recorded this video :)))

    Hi there! I’m Kaila, and I’m a Kawaii Lifestyle Blogger & Creator based in Japan. I’m originally from Manila, Philippines. I’ve been living in Japan for almost 7 years. It used to be just a far-fetched childhood dream for me to work and live here a decade ago. I revamped this channel months ago because I want to challenge myself by coming up with creative, fun, and light-hearted videos of my hobonichi days & random adventures.

    Watched this today while browsing hundreds of videos about living/moving/surviving in Japan. I, myself, am planning to move there after taking Japanese classes here in the Philippines. I am a CPA and that is not an in demand job there in Japan. But it's not impossible. Though, like any other imperfect human, I started doubting my plans. Your video amplified that small voice in my mind telling me not to give up, that it's not impossible. This video is a year old. I hope you're even better and happier now! (from 🇵🇭)

    You're brave for reflecting on your growth and struggles faced in the years past. Nothing comes easy in life; I'm sure we'll all continue to struggle once in a while regardless of age. But with each success and failure gained, it helps to shape us into becoming better person than before, if we let it. Let's do our best each day, because that's all that matters in the end!

    Dear Kaila it was a bit hard to see you cry, so I’d like to give you a big virtual hug 💗 It is true that crying can help to calm down, so I hope it works like that for you. I think that you’ve come so far in those 7 years, you’ve really accomplished a lot! I can only imagine how hard it must be to live in a foreign country by yourself. You can be really proud of yourself.Also maybe the word you were looking for (during the entitlement point) is compassion? I’m older than you and my mental age will always be around 8, lol. You’ll probably learn that when you get older you will naturally get more compassion and start to give less f’s about other peoples opinions, which is great. Take care Kaila!

    Be more forgiving of yourself and learn to be comfortable with yourself when you cannot please everyone around you. Its impossible you can please everyone in life. You will go mental if you keep on dwelling in it. You will learn our emotions and mental state sometimes are really out of our own control, so its best when its going negative, you distract yourself right away.

    • @rainbowholicTV
      @rainbowholicTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for your additional input! i am forgiving of myself and I'm comfortable with myself (hence, an unfiltered video of me being true and i published it whatever the result). What you say is true, anyone cannot please everyone. The time I moved out from Philippines for Japan, many were happy and disappointed / skeptical for me.. it didn't matter for me. For me if it's going to negative, i just try to compartmentalize my emotions and see the bigger picture but i do still acknowledge the presence of negativity for the purpose of how I could turn it into a more positive situation (if possible) / or how I can learn from it. Totally blocking out negativity does not work for me in some situations and most of the time, I had to deal it with face-to-face.. and at the end, it all depends on how I respond back (by not reacting too much).
