@samu1040 samu1040 The low tier French tanks are bad well because they are the oldest tanks in the game with most designed in the late 20's and produced in the 30's and they face 1942 to 1950 tanks like the swedish with adpds witch make armor useless or Heat german shells that didn't existed until 1943, so yeah a gap of 25 years make them not as good and Gaijin still didn't gave the French their 25/37/57/75 mm APDS Sabot that they invented and used first in battle.
Before AMD 35 was added it really was painful, now you've got that wheely boi that's waaaaaaaaay better than H35 and FCM 36
I'd add WW1 aircraft/tanks by making a whole different tech tree.
basically: tabs for period (WW1, WW2, modern), and have each one be its own tech tree, own BR, own maps
that’d work so well that it can’t happen.
Or different modes, let you start where you want. Kinda like Enlisted does campaigns, they could do Eras. WW1, WW2, Cold War and/or Modern. They can flesh out low numbers by adding... idk, mobile artillery vehicles? Resupply trucks... mine layers/clearing vehicles. I get the whole anti-artillery due to WOT, but it could just be very low velocity rounds, that you aim similarly to the Sturmpanzer 2 when you snipe with it (no? Just me? Okay). Maybe make a system similar to Enlisted's mortar system, where pings in the map show a mil to adjust to. Maybe make it inaccurate by a bit (gun or ping) like Aircraft are. Just because World of Tanks has it and it's quite powerful, doesn't mean it's not doable. Granted... these are decent/"not half bad" ideas, so unlikely to come. And yes, I've thought of this before. Put it on the forum/subreddit.

I once played thos tank on Maginot's Line. The battle was almost over by the time I arrived at a closest cap
honestly there's 2 things I liked about this tank
1. the weirdly fast traverse
2. the fact that pz2s just can't pen your angled armor reliably
Your teammates pushing you towards cover after the bomb flipped you is possibly the most wholesome thing I've seen in warthunder

I would LOVE to see WWI planes added! Even just putting them at 0.0, 0.3, and 0.7 would work well enough to me, even if they'd probably be notably outclassed by 1.0s.

WWI through WWII aircraft and fighting vehicles would be pretty amazing! There were stacks of riveted hulks designed between the wars; several that show up in the current iteration of WT.

I have a few ideas on how War Thunder could include WW1 period vehicles. What if they introduced "rank 0" with a BR range of 0.0 to 0.7? It could be quick to research them cause it could be seen as the "training" rank to teach players the basics on small maps. I feel like we could get a really good group discussion on the whole thing
There are even ground attack vehicles that could work. The hansa-brandenburg g.ik is a good example, it's a ww1 bomber that mounted a 50mm Skoda mortar in its nose. Or the aeg g.ivk which mounted a 20mm auto cannon in the nose.

You chose the D.500 series, I found the D.371/3 far better for dogfighting they handle better, turn better, I did surprisingly well with it ... but of course you don't have the cough! 20mm, but then its not a German Machinekanonne mit zuperduper blitzen ammunizion.
There are a couple of hidden gems the Br.693AB2 can get along quite well at BR and people are often caught out how well she turns and handles.

World War 1 Armour Warfare had a lot of armoured cars & trucks, especially on the Eastern Front (Germany v Russia). As for Western Front, maybe a dynamic map with mini objective markers that you get fill with troops taking trenches around it, that give low level arty support, that you have to get to help you take main objective.

French Renault was a fast troop suport vehicle. It's has a rapid fire A/T gun. It was somewhat effective in a infantry support role.
I think the early war planes are so survivable because they are very lightly constructed. Most rounds just pass through without much evergy transfer.
