I predicted grandpa Palpatine not because it was good but because Disney did the most shallow of changes to the original trilogy that they could. I bet you they flip the script, Skywalker being the bad guy and a Palpatine being a good guy.” Think about this Rey isn’t the new Luke. Rey is the new Leia and Kylo is the new Luke, Finn is the new Hann, Poe is the new Lando. It’s a fun little game to think about how Disney changed the OT characters, I’ll start with Kylo being the new Luke, he kills his father in allegiance to the dark side instead of saving him from the dark side. Finn/Hann doesn’t get the girl Luke does, Lucky they’re not brother and sister this time. Also they both started as Imperial, But instead of becoming a cool smuggler he becomes a bumbling idiot. Every OT character has a lame counterpart. Even Leia has a stupid SJW counterpart named Admiral holdo. Rey should have spent some time with The real Hann becoming an actual smuggler then kill him in the second movie. Hell even Hann is the new obi-Wan Kenobi, you know because he dies in front of the new Luke. Only instead of running away the new Luke gets to fight and beat the new OBi-wan’s killer. It’s all a shallow copy of the OT movies. Daisy Ridley is still a pretty girl but that don’t make up for it.
