It doesn't work even on the apple earpods lightning in-line mic. But on my iphone 5s and 6 plus running iOS 12. External mic works flawlessly

Hi, my microphone isn’t showing green, but when i try charging it, it will show red.
I have tired using the power button at the back of mic to switch it on but it’s not responding

Dude, if you're going to bother to make a video, put some time into getting your information together - you're vague, saying "this", "that", plus you didn't specify you're using a bluetooth microphone. - there are many adapters, a bluetooth is fancier than a simple c-port/usb-port. So vague. Try to improve - use precise terms. Probably writing a script first would help you.
