    I was so sad to see this video end , it was quite entertaining ! You guys are very funny when you experiment with food , trying all kinds of things. You really got me a laugh with your cake with the black crust 😂 . I guess you will go back to the drawing board and had a piece of aluminum to your cutting board so it wont melt 🤔 Your dog was such a baby when waiting for you guys to get ready for that summit , he sure know's how to put pressure 😅 Nice filming of the dog running down the hill when you came back on the downhill, he was like a rocket dog ! It must have been your last winter trip of the year as spring is on its way . I hope to see both of you doing the same kind of winter trips next year , you are my favorite winter travelers !
    Wish you a nice spring !

      Thank you 🤩 I truly enjoyed reading every single word you wrote. I'm impressed by your attention to details. I will definitely work on a new board for the MSR burner - a piece of aluminium is a great idea 😀 Vega does always gets impatient when we're about to leave. It doesn't matter if we're home or in the woods. Yes, this might be the last winter camping video, but it's still a lot of snow in the mountains. Maybe I will og on one last trip in two weeks before I put away the skis for the season. Thanks for leaving a comment, it means so much to me 🤗

    Hey, how much fuel do you take on a trip like this? Also, I notice you use both liquid gas and isobutane; which do you prefer for cold weather camping?

    • @HikingHansen
      @HikingHansen  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The rule of thumb is 3 dl per person per day, but I usually bring more. The white gas stove usually runs a couple of hours each day just to keep the tent tempered.
      The Reactor is super efficient for melting snow, and it’s easy to use. But, as you might know, gas stoves doesn’t work that well when it’s cold. I usually use both stoves at the same time, but you have to be careful with carbon monoxide.

      It truly was an amazing trip. We couldn't get any luckier with the weather. During the six day trip we didn't put up a single guy line on the tent, and that's uncommon here in Norway :) Hope you had a great easter in Denmark, Soren :)

    Love your videos and your hiking adventures. For me, as a near Northsea coast inhabitant, it's only a dream to hike in such areas with freezing temps and lot's of snow.
    Keep posting your wonderfull videos please !

    Hi Mads, looks like you all had a fantastic time! Especially Vega,…very impressed with her singing 😂😂!
    I also continue to be impressed with your cooking skills, maybe you should open a restaurant 🤷🏻‍♂️?
    I have the MSR reactor too and that’s a good warning to me to only use the correct cooking pot, I hope that you can bring it back to life 💕
    Once again thank you for turning out these great wilderness videos and taking us all along for the ride 👍
    I’m off this weekend on a 6 day motorbike trip around Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 with all my friends, it’ll be great fun 😬
    Keep well my friend 🙏

      No doubt about it - Langsua was awesome. We didn’t travel too far, but focused on enjoying the outdoors and the brilliant weather.
      Restaurant you say? If that’s the case I’m going to open one in the middle of the bush 😁 According to Danny, MSR could fix the burner. It suppose to be a mechanism that prevents gas from entering the stove if the unit gets too hot. But yeah, note to self, only use reactor pots with the reactor stove.
      Enjoy your motorcycle trip, it sounds fun 🤩
      Ride safely 🏍️

    Hei, ser du bruker MSR XGK EX, hvor mye bensin bruker den pr time når du fyrer i teltet ?

    • @HikingHansen
      @HikingHansen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Jeg tror den bruker ca. 3 dl per time når dysen står helt åpen. I teltet har jeg den på «simmering» mode, altså ganske så svak varme. Vi brukte i overkant av 2 liter på denne turen 😊

    Jeg gjorde samme erfaring som deg da jeg stekte pizza og hadde plastbrett som underlag. Minn smelta til gangs, og det gikk i søpla da jeg kom hjelp. Tynn trefjøl eller finèrplate er vel det som duger best.
    Kjøpt deg nytt telt..? Fikk mistanke om det da jeg så filmsnutten fra messa. :)

    • @HikingHansen
      @HikingHansen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ja, da er vi begge en erfaring rikere 😊 Nå er det lenge til vintersesongen 2023/2024, så da kan jeg finne på noe lurt. Teltet fikk vi låne av Helsport. Varanger dome - sett bort fra vekten - er mitt nye favoritt-telt. Fantastisk til vinterbruk, romslig og god takhøyde 👌Skulle ønske det fantes i en UL-utgave.

    • @gnella
      @gnella ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HikingHansen Skjønner at det har blitt favoritt. Ligner jo litt på mitt Bergans Wiglo som også er romslig. Men tungt det også. Savner den gode plassen i Luxe octopeak. Skrå vegger stjeler plass. :)

      Så kommer det nok flere lettvektstelt som er romslige og som er kompatible med ovn. Hva tenker du foresten om Nortent Gamme 4? Det er litt i samme gata som Varanger dome.

      Trefjøl og sølvteip under brennarn funke godt👍🏻 Fleire forordela med tre, man kan sette varm kjele på(lag fjøla stor nok), ikje glatt mot underlag.
      Flott film!🙂
