    Do you feel like you actually need a belt with it?? I’m just torn between this or the reserve because the reserve has a belt loop. I am 6 2” 215lbs. Wearing XL

      It's more about personal preference. If you like a loose free feel you probably won't like a belt.

    If it feels a bit tight... why not go one size up? any reason not to? They aren't gonna fall since they are bibs

      You can if you want. For me (James) I would just find something that better fits me. I don't want to get super long pants with an inseam of 30 at best and to have the potential of the straps at the top not being adjustable enough to match my torso length. It all comes down to personal preference and body type.

    Would you buy this or the Reseve? Does it worth the extra money?

      If you are just riding the lifts and not hiking much the Reserve is fine.

      I've had the reserve for a few seasons now choosing cyclic for durability. My reserve bibs butt area has scratched off a little, but have better pockets. Curious if they are same fabric, just less weight of it...

    Hi, Jame, in this video you have Medium Size but what kind of model do you have? Short, Tall or Regular size for this bibs?, greetings ❄🤘🏼

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Regular. I would specify if it was Short or Tall.

    What’s the difference between this bibs and reserve goretex? Looks like it’s same specs and options. Thanks

      The Cyclic AK is a little lighter and a little more slackcountry/backcountry focused

    I wish they had belt loops, I need the XL for length etc but the waist is way too loose even with the Velcro straps done up as tight as possible.

    • @jeffstewart4162
      @jeffstewart4162 ปีที่แล้ว

      Otherwise AK is the best gear in the game. I haven’t tried the new 686 3L Pro stuff yet but it’s huge bucks.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. Belt loops would be nice. Having a floating belt would be weird. Hope to try more 3L Pro 686.

      Why not get a smaller waist size but the Tall inseam to get needed length

    I’ve had the crotch vent zippers blow out this season on 2 different pairs (last pair was on the first day I wore them) anyone else having this issue? Currently having them replaced for the third time in a month.

    • @thegoodridesnow

      That sucks and thanks for sharing your issue here.

    • @ElevenEightNate
      @ElevenEightNate 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds like you need to go up a size or two, dude. No reason these should fit tight enough that you're blowing anything out unless you're just wearing them way too small and tight. Too small a size restricts movement and looks nerdy, go up!

    Great review! What would you recommend wearing under the Cyclic bid for Japan?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! Depends on your warmth and what you are doing there. If you are hiking you can go with most Burton Midweight First Layers and Burton Heavyweight first layers. If you run a little cold or are mainly riding the lifts you can go with Burton Heavyweight first layers or some Mid Layers like the Stockrun Grid Pants or even better the AK Helium Stretch Insulated Pants.

    Hello, I am 185cm (6'1") 183lbs, do you think I should go for L or M, there is a special offer for the M but i am not sure.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on what usually fits you now. You seem more on the Large side but I don't know your inseam or waist.

      @@thegoodridesnow Hello Thanks for the quick answer, my waist is usually a 32 and for inseam I am not sure, I usually wear pants 32/34.
      The website fitter tells me I am an M but all their models wear L to XL and they seem to have comparable body type

      @silaszur ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thegoodridesnow The other alternative would be the burton reserve gor tex bib in L but I heard the AK is worth the upgrade, the price difference would be under a 100.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem. You seem more medium tall so you might really like the AK Cyclic Tall in size medium. Especially if you have a longer inseam. Find that out before you buy. It really depends on how much you ride, how much you hike etc. If you are just resort riding and not splitboarding/hiking/driftboarding go Reserve. Lucky for you they make that in a Tall/Medium as well.

    I find these burton bibs are a little long, I'm 5'8" and feel like the pant length on the mediums really bunches up at the bottom. Wouldn't recommend for anyone under 5'10", other than that they feel awesome

      I'm 5'7" and make sure every snow bib pants or pants inseam is the SHORT version. Burton is one of few brands you actually make that inseam, its a game changer. Benefit is Burton is the best quality around, so scout that hard to find inseam fren

    I found there are hooks in the inner layer near the ankle area, any idea what they do?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They help the gaiters connect to the boots lacing to keep them in place.
