Grant Johnston thanks for the quick response. I'm fairly new to the real estate business I'm working on my second video and wondering if I should brand it at the end/beginning/a small logo in the corner. I'm not looking for it to be excessive but at the same time want to "put my name on it." Let me know your thoughts. I've watched basically everyone of your videos and love all of them, they are very helpful keep it up!
Its a matter of personal choice and if you can get away with it I would imagine. Personally I don't as my main form of marketing is the direct approach and referrals from other clients.
I didn't shoot 4K with the Inspire 2 for that job as they wanted 1080p delivery but do shoot 4K on my Inspire 1 and yes with what I saw there is definitely an improvement in the quality of the footage coming out of the Inspire 2 and the X5s camera.
glad and why not? the Inspire one is a fantastic tool... not perfect but of course and now dated about what 20 months for the 1 pro?? haha I think you are the biggest resource for your paid gigs... Do you do your post in house? I am in the business plan stage and really need to build a team of skills to complement mine... cheers and thanks Matthew
Hey Grant! So I decided that I would save a bit of money and go with the Phantom 4 as a starter drone for getting into the real estate market, enabling me to buy a few extra batteries, some spare parts, and a good case. I was also thinking about picking up the Osmo for interior videos as well. Do you think I could pull this off? I know you said to use a wide angle lens however the Oslo seems to be a fixed lens. Your thoughts? Thanks again!
The Phantom 4 should serve you well, in fact bang for buck the Phantom 4 and 4 pro would be the drones I'd recommend. The Osmo will work for you no worries, it has a native 20mm wide lens which is fine but its not great in low light and handheld gimbals are a particular style of shot, they give a faster paced feel than the slider. Can I re-post your question up on the Shooting Real Estate Video facebook group facebook.com/groups/shootbettervideo/
Thanks for the response as always! I totally agree. I have been doing extensive research on both the P4 and the P4P and it seems that to keep myself under the 2k budget the P4+ the Osmo is the best way to get going. I was thinking about creating a platform for the Osmo that would be able to attach to a slider so I can get those slow smooth shots but also have a universal camera that can be used in other applications. As far as the re-post, that would be completely fine. Thank you!
I appreciate the thoughts, but goodness gracious the bell sound.
beautiful shots!
Good one Grant.
Do you think DJI will come out with an osmo for the Zenmuse X5S anytime soon?
I don't know but I hope so as could have really done with one on a job last week!

Aftermarket batteries are a must now for the inspire 1 as they don’t make them and are expensive to buy now
Thank uuuu
Planning the jump to Inspire 1 or 2
thanks for the review. which Osmo camera were you using?
Just the standard Osmo
Grant- How do you follow bike riders? They disappear into the distance quite fast. (Beautiful work, but you don;t need me to tell you that. lol)
It wasn't all plain sailing! It always helps if you know the sport or activity but there were plenty of shots that didn't make the cut!!
