GIN GLIDERS ::: Flying the Nasca lines

- In 2005, the GIN Team took a rare break from R&D and competition flying to travel to Peru. The trip took them from Lima city to the beaches of Paracas and the mountains of Cusco. The highlight of the trip was their flight over the Nasca lines, where they overcame local bureaucracy and logistical challenges to become the first paragliding pilots ever to do fly over this treasured site.
Looking back, we remember the sights and sounds but especially the precious time shared with our departed friends, Mathias Roten and Norman Lausch.

wow, sad to see you've become so arrogant to claim the first flight over the Nazca lines. Dave Sharp, Kari Kastle, Jose Rosas , Hans, and a couple other Peruvian locals and I flew over the Nazca lines and we towed hang gliders off a dirt road next to the lines in 1998. The flights were featured in an Outdoor Life production, " Adventure Quest" later purchased and aired by National Geographic. kind of sucks when you brag about a first, and you're not first. DUH.

they do not claim the first flight ! they say the first paragliders flying there . Anyhow I think the "people" that created these lines already knew how to fly, so forget the rest.
