- First leg of my road trip. Park metal detecting with my Minelab Manticore metal detector. I found three silver items and a lot more treasure while in the Sacramento area.

Hello... fun road trip and now it is time to find more goodies while in WA....
It rained rings, bling and necklaces, great day. You promote ethical detecting to many. Hope the rubbish leavers watch the show and learn.
Thanks... we do pride ourselves on being ethical, down to earth and having fun. I also believe in taking all finds/trash out of the parks....
I truly enjoy this channel. What I don’t understand is how so many ‘veterans’ simply keep the valuable jewelry found as just a collection of finds - never intending to cash their finds in…???
I cash in my spendable coins I keep the silver and gold. Maybe one day if I am really broke I will sell them.
We wait until the end of the year to cash in our coins... The gold/silver finds are all still safely stored in the safe. I have been contemplating cashing them in fairly soon. We hold onto most of them and search websites looking for anyone who has posted a loss. We have been able to return one ring and we are working on returning a class ring but have not been able to reach the owner yet.

I thought you had great hunts on your way up north. I very much enjoyed seeing the parks and all that you found in the tot lots. Enjoy your road trip on the back roads of Oregon, one of my favorite old haunts back in the late 60’s and 70’s. Many fewer people back then and none of the riff raff. 😊

The two pirate treasure coins are doubloons. Used as gaming pieces, metal detecting, and just fun treasure hunting. Fun finds.
I finally found doubloons... I am rich...lol. Yeah, I figured they were kid related... still fun to find. Thanks

Bill with as much as you found in the tot-lots of the first park the grass might be loaded. Look on those treasure coins for the word copy it should be on there somewhere.
Yes, If I was not kinda in a hurry, I would love to have spent a full day out in the grass at a couple of those parks... I will probably only hunt grass when I am back in the Sac area. Tot lots are quick and easy on the road. I will take a closer look at them when I get back...thanks
It's amazing what different treasures you find in different area's. You're going to need several more pairs of Crocs if you keep finding croc decor 😂
I Love that you always pick up after others. I do the same, I never leave home without trash bags.
Thanks... yes, so many crock things... now that I have crocks, I like finding them. I am about out of holes...lol. Pulling the trash from the parks is always a good think. I think to myself, if I take enough trash out I may get rewarded with a treasure...
Hey Bill, nice of you to take us along on your road trip. You should use the Tesoro in the tot lots. It's perfect for that environment.

LOL. I was shocked when I found the first one... I was trying to figure out what it was. I figured it had to be some type of kid treasure chest replica but it was crazy... they feel so real

Thanks...yeah, rings added up fast. I hunted today and nada... but I did get some good finds on the trip from Sacramento to Washington.... I think I did hit my ring goal with that part of the trip.... Hum... will have to look him up.

drove thru Yakima Friday.... hit a couple parks but I think you took all the treasure and it was raining.

Thanks... always nice to find glasses that are not all scratched up. I did not test the coins. I am guessing they are kids treasure and I don't have any of my testing stuff with me. I will take a closer look at home when I sort out all the finds
Cheers...nice finds! you are probably finding targets they are discriminating out or just to sketchy .It's amazing the amount of trash people leave who are using the parks,but to leave open holes and the pull-tabs ect. just terrible! Take care !

I grew up in Roseville ca I know of lot of older parks around the area
Many alleged detectors approach me while I’m detecting to advise me they often detect the site s likely nothing left to find. Wrong! I’m convinced a majority are untruthful…but simply protecting their potential future sites. I raril6 listen and f’ing lots of valuables.
I agree... Christine and I had some guy last year basically tell us the beach we were detecting was his to detect...lol. We did really well there too. Even if I see a handful of people detecting I will still hit it and find stuff....

Not really.... I seem to find some pretty good stuff. I do plan on hitting grass when I get back to the Sac area. To be honest, I think on the average I find better stuff in the grass. On the road trip it is easiest to swing into tot lots and bail especially since I do not know the rules for most of these cities. As long as I am detecting, I don't really care where!
