I feel like this song is about how we already have good things in our life and that it isn’t selfish or cold to not want a boyfriend currently. If we’re already happy with ourselves, if we already have successes, family and friends, there isn’t really a point in needing a significant other, because having a significant other isn’t actually necessary for a happy life. Maybe in the future we will find someone, but for the time being, it’s perfectly okay to focus on ourselves.
