Mula Gabharu or in Assamese মূলাগাভৰু
also known as Nang Mula was a Tai woman warrior of Tai-Ahom Kingdom. Mula Gabharu was a lady among these phenomenal and patriotic women, who fought with the Mughals for her husband Chao Frachenmung, for her motherland. Who called the people of Assam to fight the battle with the Mughals by taking Hengdung (Ahom sword) in their hands and fought four days with the Mughals and killed many soldiers. During the war, her women gang was consisted of some brilliantly brave lady soldiers like Muhila, Pomila, Lolita, Jayanti and other courageous ladies who all after fighting heroically laid down their lives in the battlefield laying with Mula Gabharu.
Mula Gabharu has contributed a lot towards Women Empowerment through her courage, dedication and sacrifice. By making her supreme sacrifice, she left behind the highest example of patriotism, dedication and love for her country, which continued to inspire present day generation. We bow to her🙏
Hence, on this Independence Day we through this dance video portraying a great example of Women Empowerment. We want to send this message to all the women out there that you are strong enough to fight and to take stand for your rights, equality and independence in this society.
