I'm starting to feel very good about the years I spent as a child in girl scouts, camping, and summer camp, then again with my daughters as a scout leader. It was a blessing. My son and husband also did boy scouts for a few years. We did it the hard way back in the 70's also, camping outside, making fires, cooking over the fire, the whole life skills thing. Never ever thought I would think about my days as a scout like I do now, possible disaster survival skill.
R. Lynch I do too. Butttt you got to know how to do things with less. What if you don’t have a multtool? Learn to do things with bare minimum items. You won’t have all the Gucci kit when things go bad.
Your gut was right! Watching this now...in the midst of this pandemic. Will need to get up to speed on urban survival skills. Let us know when your gut gives you another insight :-D
I loved you on "Naked and Afraid " I was so surprised to see you on that show, I would love to see this dude on naked and afraid as well, I think he would do great
This is great format. I have thought about the get home scenario many times. I work 70 miles from home, that's a long walk if your not prepared. Thanks Jack!
That's a 5-7 day walk. Your fucked. My advice. Don't work so far away. Have a job within a days walk (15 miles) from where you live. Otherwise your gonna have to walk for a week, or find someone (Who might compromise your safety) to help get you home.
Dhiego Goiano really? I thought Brazil was doing good with the off shore drilling and all. Although I do remember the Olympics last year and seeing some poverty. Are the problems do to the government hard control of the businesses?
Jerry Guerra step by step we are moving forward the economic crisis, but our society is just too damn violent. We have almost 72000 homicides/year. This country is fucking crazy.
@@jerryguerra348 That öffshore drilling was a big sham, no profit came from it. And even this "right wing"government we have, is not fiscally conservative. So yes, hard to get out of our brazilian rut
@@andreferrer9350 wow André. I don't live in Brazil. You looked at my last name and used your supper power of stereotypical judgment, to judge based on my last name. To me that is so typical of a bigoted leftist. And your knowledge of offshore oil drilling is just as ignorant as you lack of knowledge about me and my experiences. Maybe you need to stop judging what you don't know anything about. Your no Einstein, that's for sure. Maybe a Barny Fife. But no EInstein.
Good video! As for your stove.. I have been living off an on the streets for several years and I always carry a old fashioned church key to open can's and bottles if needed.. It also makes quick work of making a small can hobo stove! My multi tool i can even make a gasafire stove ( less fuel n smoke) after used i can pour water on it to clean and cool... Take an use multiple times!
Great content, well thought out and realistic. No normalcy biass, religion bashing and stuff, just plain survivalism tactics. Thanks. (Way better than canadian prepper, he is so full of himself)
I half expected to see you pull out a ferro rod to start the fire. I see their use as a backup, but I will always start with the path of least resistance. Lighters are cheap, and I have yet to have one fail on me. After that I have strike anywhere matches with the striker from the box, and as a last resort I have a magnesium bar with a ferro rod on it. I love those wet fire tabs too. I do need to practice more with the ferro rod before I am in a situation where I have to have it. Even under good circumstances I have to really work to make it work.
Note to self ....Don't buy any combination padlocks .....Also if you chuck in a few stones to that can it would add some stability other wise its very top heavy ....Great video
Great series! I really enjoy these kind of videos. It makes you think about your situation and where you live. Luv how you focus on the small details along the way. Finding the can of food along the way and using the can for a stove awesome. Always making sure you leave room in your pack so you can pick up supplies along the way. Great video! Happy thanksgiving
Really like the series man. Great simulation where you apply skills previously covered in the channel for a potential situation that can happen nowadays. Especially With the random acts of terrorism happening, such as the one in New York.
I would assume the bug out kit should have some hooks and fishing string. I would not want to eat any fish from a city creek or river BUT if your hungry we have to do it. Carp, catfish, Suckers and eel are abundant in city water ways, they probably have higher levels of mercury and other bad things. I would also bring a pump bb pistol for hunting animals without the loud noise of a firearm .
love the series so far great info.. i see 2 people didnt like it how strange how can you not like free information about survivablity keep up the great work jack
There are 40 dislikes by the time I seen it. Some people complain when they have to stand in line for a free lunch. Then there are those that hold on to envy and such. Than there people that troll the net to dislike anything American.
Good luck finding any video without dislikes. People are assholes. The only videos I know that are up for a long time with 0 dislikes are songs from obscure artists that no one knows about. I'd link one I know of but some cunt would dislike it in a second. 1.7k likes to 65 dislikes at the time I'm writing is a 26:1 ratio. Who cares about a few dislikes.
Great vid ... would prefere 3 x one day rations as a better option than 1 x 3 three day ration. Barter and less potential for contamination. Would also choose a SOL escape bivvy over a poncho liner... much smaller and lighter.. Just my preference. Keep the vids coming.
lucky for you that you found the soup... I've been trying to think of ways to cut back on the weight of my bag.. I have a can of beef BBQ I could take out of it. Decisions decisions.. Seriously that is the problem.. My bag is heavy because I have a sleeping bag and a tarp and a emergency tent... I haven't even packed a med kit. To get home from my work it would probably take 4 days of hiking. I'm thinking the best thing to do is take the Tarp out of the get home bag and leave it at home for a go bag.. I can make it 4 days without a tarp...I took my bow saw out for that same reason.. its better in a go bag.. not a get home bag.
those are some nice round holes you made in that can. :) Kidding aside, good series and appreciate you posting them. It's something a lot of us think about, and hope to never have to use.
Amazing! If I didn't know how to light a fire in a tin can and heat up a pot of prop soup before, I do now. Hope when the grid goes down we all are blessed to keep finding the cans that the looters dropped!
I personally would avoid batoning with your knife as your could potentially break it and then you don't have a knife. Make a wedge instead. Takes an extra 10 minutes or so but is well worth it.
BLACKSCOUTSURVIVAL that was awesome video the first was good too the rosaries and use them to survive in both urban and the woodland are a must thumb way keep them coming bro they do help
Always keep a Little bit of Tinder wood with you cause you may not know when you are going to get more in a urban situation I learn that the hard way when I was homeless
This type of instructional/situational videos are really what people need. Thank you so much. God Bless you.

This is good until it comes to defending yourself. Your too old for any form of combat
I keep a sturdy multi tool in every kit i own for situations like the diy stove. A multi tool is one of the top 3 most valuable tools to me.
R. Lynch I do too. Butttt you got to know how to do things with less. What if you don’t have a multtool? Learn to do things with bare minimum items. You won’t have all the Gucci kit when things go bad.
I never used to even consider these types of situations, but my gut tells me we will see bad times ahead... and soon. Thanks for the series.
When? I scared
1 year later people are hoarding toilet paper

Glad I live 2 miles from my work then
Book 1 in the going home series by A American
The look on your face when you tasted the soup 😋 for the first time was priceless 😂
I found some sturdy q tips at harbor freight and dipped them in Vaseline. Great fire starter.
Also have a torch lighter.
After he finishes his stove with the can: ''It is now day 4''
One of my favorite series to watch
As a fan and Brazilian, I can say that this knowledge is pure gold! Thanks man! Here the shit is deadly serious...

These videos are great. Thanks for making a scenario video. I really enjoy them. What a great way to show application.
Great stuff. Easily one of the most informative and useful channels out there.
Didn't know you could use the hook to bypass those style of master locks, I only knew of using the EZ decoders, thanks!
Good video!

Gotta love those Heavy Cover sporks. Enjoying the series so far!
Realistically, I probably would’ve just eaten that soup cold

Awesome series!! Would it be possible to get a list of what you keep in your vehicle go bag?

I keep a UST multi tool card that has a can opener on it and it is really good for making hobo stoves.
Great info! Thank you! I don't konw why, but seeing your wedding ring is really and sincerely motivating to me...
You should feed the sticks in from the top because realistically you would need hot coals at the bottom.
Really like the series man. Great simulation where you apply skills previously covered in the channel for a potential situation that can happen nowadays. Especially With the random acts of terrorism happening, such as the one in New York.
Damn! Learned something new with that soup can stove! Thanks!
Pre Thanksgiving feast. Like that you are keeping it simple.
Great vids and Extremely Helpful!
I’ve learned a LOT from you in less than an hour.Thank You!

Thanks Jack. Great video series. keep up the good work.
When are the lock pick kits and flashlight pouches going to be in stock again? Keep up the good work man.
Part 2 had a lot to live up to due to Part 1 being so damn good... well you delivered.
+Kevin Lewis awesome. Good to hear. Your gonna love Part 3 then
Really enjoying this series.
My two cents for the Fast Fire, whittle a point on one of the spare sticks and spear your fast fire before lighting it
Awesome, as always! Great series. I still need to get lock picks and a sillcock key! Shame on me after 3 years of watching :0)
Don't forget your P-38 can opener!
Great vid ... would prefere 3 x one day rations as a better option than 1 x 3 three day ration. Barter and less potential for contamination. Would also choose a SOL escape bivvy over a poncho liner... much smaller and lighter.. Just my preference. Keep the vids coming.
This is such a great series.
Great idea for a series! Good job!
Really nice work. Im a fan all overagain. Keep up the drone footage
Good info. Would you do some videos with primitive early warning systemy to AO. Also explain egress, regress, degrees. Like at a 1 nighter quick DFP.

Great series. I need to come up with an option for water crossing
Really liking this series! Keep it up!
Great, practical series
Great video brother. How's that knife holding up i have one as well that's why i was wondering. I still love mine going to get a smaller version soon.
Great series, excellent info, but do we really need the loud music?
The lock picks are illegal without a locksmith license where I live but a good skill I think
The stove did a good job!
Great series!! Thanks for all you do!! Happy thanksgiving 🦃
those are some nice round holes you made in that can. :) Kidding aside, good series and appreciate you posting them. It's something a lot of us think about, and hope to never have to use.

Awsome series, i can't wait the next video
+cheap Luth_V wow. Thanks. Appreciate it
Love the groovy bug out music.
Very cool Jack! Thanks for sharing! Happy Thanksgiving!
Nice work everybody!
Love it! Gloves? Maybe a bit more cover for the fire and meal? Going to lll!

love that intro song
remember that a lot of those lifestraw type water filters won't filter out chemicals or viruses.

How's it going?? It's like going through SOI but cant wait till the nxt.part!!! Happy thanksgiving!! Semper fi....😎
I was thinking that maybe you should show how to open a can that isn't a poptop type without a can opener or other handy tool...
StrikeForce MTB I watched a video where they rubbed the top of the can on concrete & it opened.
You can also use a knife (if need be)
@@caasizednanreh4423 I know a lot of survival but he has the platform to teach it where I do not...
@blackscoutsurvival do you suggest having a Stanley cup in your urban kit why or why not?
now THIS is a serius series, very interesting and helpfull. cant wait to see the Others videos. big up for your work man!! =)
Great stuff!
Great work!
Sometimes we have to look around, never know what if there is FEMA or bed guys behind !
Gloves would be nice to have.
what would be a good lock to keep people out?
It's probably been asked a dozen times, but what knife is he using to baton the wood?
I know it's supposed to be a survival scenario but when were laying into that can with the knife, just made my teeth grit.
i appreciate the gun disarm lesson. hopefully ill remember to use it or not have my adrenalin give me a heart attack XD
It be nice to show the content of the bag also.
nice video . whats the brand of your knife pls ? look nice . look busse combat knife
thanks i got it from your next video gso 5.1 knife
Question: if you have time and you aren’t hypothermic, why waste a fast fire cube?
Great video. The knife you were using, is that on your web-site? I didn't see it. Thanks!
+Gary Smith it’s a SURVIVE! Knife. The best on the planet
Thanks. Happy Holidays!
Nobody else talks about re tasking a can you JUST used as a stove
