Watch these every week on a Tuesday with a cold one or two in Australia….this was on of the best this season ….i went to watch my local team Adelaide United last yer about this time of year and a guy originally from Bolton says to me in the pub “ every Welsh guy I meet these days supports Wrexham ….i replied yeh bro I jumped on the bandwagon on Boxing Day …..he said ha ….then I said 1976 4-2 win against Chester …that shut the prick up….the stand above the cop was still there then too….i spent the next few seasons in the Mold red paddock ….good days indeed❤
Tim shut down when I suspect he was going to ask if Ollie Rathbone was his Mickeys “Love Child”, I drew the comparison way back when we played Bolton away. The resemblance is uncanny, lol, shame you didn’t squeeze that in. It was as if he knew it was coming. Great pod as ever.
0:43 Mickey Thomas. What a legend. Such a genuine guy as is Joey Jones. If the owners watch this podcast then please listen to Mickey. The time is now. Seize the day.
Off the ball work is great, but if a striker isn't scoring, they will become a problem. We can't have Ollie "he doesn't score much, but look what he does defensively" Palmer and Paul "he does a lot of work off the ball" Mullin on the pitch together if both aren't scoring. I'm all for defensive work from up top, but that should be in addition to goals, not in lieu of. Lee, leads the pack with 6 goals followed by a defender, a striker who has been out since October, and a striker that plays like 20 minutes a game all on 5.
Enjoyed the episode! I'm in California and I don't think my opinion counts in the "rate your hate game' but I have been following the table in the Championship. My "California dream" is to see a little switcheroo between Wrexham and Cardiff City at the end of the season with Wrexham in the Championship and Cardiff City relegated to L1. I enjoyed hearing Tim's feelings on the matter! Additionally, when I hear folks talk about expanding the capacity of the STōK Cae Ras, I alway think, just make it bigger and better than the Cardiff City Stadium; I want Wrexham to have the best football stadium in Wales. It's really kind of silly, but it is what it is. Thanks for a great interview with Mickey Thomas! ❤🤍❤
Fellow American here. I’d hate to see Cardiff drop into L1. I’d rather see more Welsh “derbys” occur. Wrexham paying both Swansea and Cardiff would be great IMO. Having been to both Cardiff and Wrexham, I have to say that City Stadium is sizable, and there isn’t enough room to build out the Racecourse to match the size with the surrounding buildings. Plus, while a good time, City Stadium comes across as more “corporate” sports while the Racecourse with the surrounding area provides a much better atmosphere and experience.
@@jeffreythomas4110 Fair enough. You could be right about the stadium size limitations. But I have seen some engineers offering solutions to get the stadium to 35-40K at the existing site. These may or may not be viable (I'm a biologist so what do I know?) but I wouldn't be at all surprised if some clever solutions are found to get the capacity to 35K or a little higher. We will see!

Great Interview of the legend Mickey Thomas!
Great to see and hear Mickey; not one to be messed with! Very good footballer-God I forgotten he went to Salop.
The title of this video is exactly why you won that award! Brilliant, gentlemen!

Thanks guys, this interview prompted me to buy Mickey's book (as I'm watching). And I cannot handle this talk about Parky going. At all.

Man Utd in the ECWC was a pretty good one despite getting comprehensively beaten in both legs
Joey Jones, Parrot legend
It was Denis Smith that signed Robbie Foy not Saunders
I’m not for the welsh cup. We aren’t prepared for it. We don’t have the infrastructure or the player pool for it. Huge mistake.
Chester really isn't posh these days 🤣
I agree about Cardiff but also hate the Swans
Chester, Newport, Chesterfield in that order. Can’t forgive any of them…..
What's the story with Chesterfield?
1996-96 FA Cup Quarter Final
Bring back shark boys movie reviews i say😂
Cannot agree with Polly on the hate list, time for early retirement please Andy
