To the bold fenian men. Whom had more balls than any who came over to meet 'em. Whom had the courage to stand up to tyranny and fight the wicked for a cause that was all of ours.
I'll continue in English so that anyone (or at least the majority) can read this: I love omnia. I've seen them live, 5 times! And I want another time Ö. I think they're my drug xD.
@TheSatanwarrior Well true, though word Paganism is often misused as it is originally a Christian word. It's good to have more alternative religions these days under the banner.
Thanks! You prove my point, I know that we (christians) are not precisely welcome between pagans, but if you Xcelld and zwerverbeer are real pagans so... You should respect me as a human being, not caring about religions... that is what you said, am I correct?
@zwerverbeer Can't argue with that...unless it's to say that I prefer a church with a priest's head nailed to it in the good old viking tradition myself:)
First, this is a beautiful old traditional Irish song. It's nothing to do with religion. But religion seems to be the only discussion apearing under each and every Omnia Video. Don't you think, this is getting tedious folks? Pagan originally means nonbeliever... I am Asatru, so by definition not pagan. But, thinking about what Paganism is defined nowadays, I am proud to be considered one. I do not dislike Christians though, what I do dislike are missionaries, Christian or pagan or satanistic.
Also, for those of you calling satanism the same as Pagan; noun 1. the worship of Satan or the powers of evil. 2. a travesty of Christian rites in which Satan is worshiped. 3. diabolical or satanic disposition, behavior, or activity... To be a satanist, you must first believe in the christian Satan and god. Which simply makes satanism just the opposite of Christianity, yet still rooted in Christianity, thus not Pagan.
@Xcelld Oh dear. You completely failed to address my question. Read what I actually wrote and you'll find I never called you a 'Christian', merely pointed out a much repeated Christian error. And for the record 'Summarise', in English, not 'American English', is correctly spelled with an 's'. Only Americans insist on replacing the 's' with a 'z'. You really should check your facts before doing a critique of an Englshman's use of his own language. So, tell me again who is looking ignorant here?
@LadyLuria No problem. 'Paganism' is simply a blanket term that includes all non-christians. By definition Vikings, Celts, Sikhs, Hiindus, Buddhists, all polytheistic religions, all non-abrahamic religions and atheists are all 'pagans'. Hence the notion of trying to say 'pagans believe this' is farcical and symptomatic of ignorance on the subject. Neopaganism, and Wicca, on the other hand are now pseudio religions, drawing on ancient beliefs and reinventing them for a modern audience.
@Xcelld so your basically saying now that your opinion is a fact and mine is a false interpretation ? the last sentence does ring a bell with christianity, didn't they fail in that too ? that makes you a hypocrite, maybe christian too ? you said I NEED to do something, that is by definition an opinion otherwise you can force me into things which you cannot.
@TheSatanwarrior Not really the place for this is it? I mean it's not really related at all. Also before you start yelling about me being a Christian I'm not I'm a Druid, I just feel that there are better videos to comment on with this. Go bother the Christians ;)
I think tend to forget what Pagan means, so~ adjective 5. pertaining to the worship or worshipers of any religion that is neither Christian, Jewish, nor Muslim. Synonyms: heathen, heathenish, idolatrous, polytheistic. Antonyms: Christian, Jewish, Muslim, monotheistic. As well as forgetting Heathen: noun 1. an unconverted individual of a people that do not acknowledge the God of the Bible; a person who is neither a Jew, Christian, nor Muslim; pagan. MM, btw
@Xcelld Life's too short for this. Your English is all over the place in all your posts; 'astounding use grasp' ? WTF does that mean? 'their selves','an demand'...Brilliant, you're a regular Shakespeare. wikipedia on Quotation marks; read that and learn something before you embarass yourself further. I write novels on the subject of Medieval Europe for a living. Six of them thus far. Paganism is NOT a religion. You make repeated mistakes 'on purpose'? Yeah, sure you do! So long Christian!
@Xcelld 'Back peddling' eh? Care to justify; 'Pagans being taught to find truth in their selves and treating all things with respect and honor is fact, not opinion.'? ('Good' English yet again, by the way) 'Pagans' were 'taught' nothing as a group. You are summarising all non-christians as a single entity, a typical Christian fallacy. I presume you're referring to Neopaganism, which has bugger all to do with medieval history. Now that is a 'fact'. Vikings killed christian priests. Live with it.
@zwerverbeer Among our people?... jajajajajaja, you can only speak of the past, speak now "pagan", you are saying that you wish that our temples were burnt to the ground, past offenses between our beliefs doesn't give us the excuse to be racists... The politheists hunted and killed my people... So, WTF? It is in the past, those are times in which none of your family can remember, live now, and live well, don't hold grudges that were not meant for you to hold.
That's fine music , makes us connect with the past, makes us feel alive in memory of what has happened .
