I’m a fan of the channel so I hate to be that guy, but why couldn’t we have a normal review instead of a paid infomercial? EMBN already exists for PR fluff, I subscribe to MBR for actual journalism/opinions.
@@MBRmagazine I realise you guys have bills to pay btw, it’s just a bit jarring compared to your usual stuff… which is, indirectly, a compliment 😂 Very interested to hear how you think this compares with the Spectral On Fly (terrible name!), though my first thought was echoed by your write up… wrong motors for their two “fly” models? 🤔
Thanks for the comment. Yep, it’s a fine line to walk between supported content and pure editorial. Objective testing will always be at the core of what we do, but big bike tests take lots of time. We’ve got an 8-bike SL ebike test nearing completion, and we plan to get a head to head review of the YT Decoy SN against the Mondraker Dune. The plan is to get these out this autumn/winter. Thanks for your support and stay tuned 👍
Very glad Porsche bought Fazua. They needed their help with terrible early quality control issues snd may have gone belly up if it wasn’t for Porsche. Still the best feeling motor/drive unit but have yet to try the brand new Bosch…
Excellent video. I just discover this model...What would be your choice between this bike and the Mondraker Dune XR ? I will probably go to emtb, actually I'm riding a 2019 Ransom 900 Tuned and I would like to stay in a enduro e-bike model but not a fat ! Thanks for your feedback ( I'm 90kgs weight! )
Great video, not so much the bike( I’m not a ebiker yet😅) but our south wales trails! Glad you finished with my local Barry sidings( fabulous place 2 play bikes)… point I want 2 make is why the welsh government don’t do more too help out trails out, absolute diamond mine for tourism! Just look at parts of Scotland! But no they see most of us as a pain! Useless 🙄
Thanks! Barry is brilliant. Absolutely love it! And yes you’re right, in other parts of the world, it would be heavily promoted as an MTB tourist destination.
Please review some good but budget emtbs for normal people who want to get back on two wheels and are not hardcore enduro/downhill riders but want a good starter bike to explore
Yeah, sorry I didn’t Strava it. Just too much to try and remember on the day! I did work out roughly what the elevation would be before setting out and it was around 1,000m.
@MBRmagazine duhh lol🤣 I think another demo is on ! I really like this bike but the hills here in NZ may be an issue for it/me 😁 those parks have sure changed in Wales since I left, some minters for sure 👌
If it’s any help, I’ve done one 37km ride with 1,058m climbing, in River mode, 15% battery left. And another with 34km, 1,047m climbing, also in River mode and 15% battery remaining. I’m 78kg. 👍
@@MBRmagazine Was that the Atera Strada DL? MTB axles have widened enough so that my current Thule Velo is no longer wide enough to stop the bikes from rubbing together so looking for something wide enough for modern MTB's..... Good review as always, is there a list of destinations also? I've rode some but not all of them, just back from a long weekend in Northern Wales so looking for new destinations to ride. YT always do good bikes, i've owned both Jeffsy and Capra's, i was tempted by this but went with the Cannondale Moterra SL instead as i wanted a full power as i already have a Trek Exe. Keep uo the good work

Thanks for your support as a subscriber. I’m sure, then, you can appreciate that all the content we make is now free to consume. You no longer have to pay to read a magazine, and our website doesn’t have a paywall. So of course it will be necessary to find other revenue streams, such as promotional videos. This helps fund the high costs of actually testing stuff properly, and producing all the content around those reviews. We try to balance pure editorial and commercial content, and it’s not an easy task.
This is basically a review of materialism..A 9000€ bike at the back of a 100.000€ car..rejoice my fellow poor riders!! Better days are coming for us too!!
“Hey look, a direct to consumer line for best value!” Unloads the bike from the back of his Porsche. Sigh.
I always take my Porsche out when I go biking, it makes my e-bike seem such good value for money 😂
😂

Full review of this bike in the pipeline 👍

@@MBRmagazinenot what he asked. Don't avoid the difficult question, just makes you look less trustworthy

Don’t worry, we’re doing a proper test on this now. 👍
This bike and the new Slash Plus are on my short list when comes time to replace my Levo!
Looks sick brother. I prefer a full power e bike bit would rock this too.

Great vid. Gotta do Afan Masts!! 🤘
Yeah Masts are 🤘
I would totally change my 160e for this YT, it is very similar as the yeti 165, but electric.

Funnily enough I’m testing those two bikes head to head at the moment. Look out for a review and video in the next couple of months.
@MBRmagazine sounds good 😊
I'm subscribed to the channel, I'll keep an eye out for that, enjoy 👌
Thanks! 🙏 Pros and cons to both bikes. Going to be tough to pick a winner.
Would like a review on the 2025 Cube Stereo Hybrid One77
Best vid yet 🙌
Thanks Will! 🤘
Great idea for a promo video, loved it. Nice too see a snippets from so many different locations in SW.
Thanks! Was a fun day out, for sure.
I do like the look of the core 3!
Yeah the spec and colour scheme looks 👌
Hello! . And what is the model and company of the helmet?
It’s a Giro Tyrant 👍

What sort of budget?
They did a budget emtb round up a few videos back.
Be interesting to see what your Ks and elevation was.

What's. going on with the bike racking being so massive?
The bike rack on the car? Seemed about similar in size to Thule’s tow bar racks 🤷♂️

used to sub to the magazine, the boast was always about impartial trustworthy reviews... and now, this. Poor old MBR, ain't nothing but an ad show now

well i guess a porsche taycan fits well with a e bike. I think you might be able to charge the bike from it.
I was thinking the same thing, but it was not possible with this particular model. At least not without an inverter.

Can’t argue that it wasn’t indulgent!
Meh, mullet.
No it isn't btw
Didn't say ebike in title. This is clickbait bullshit. I am only interested in bikes not motorbikes so stop pushing ebikes.
Er, it’s not in the thumbnail text, but it is in the title.
