This kicks so much ass! Huge fan of Kiss and their DMing style, and each of the players take up their characters so quickly! Really excited to see where the story goes. It's really awesome to see LRR give some extremely talented performers access to their production resources, hope to see more like this even beyond this campaign!
For anyone confused: This is a Dice Friends campaign that Nathaniel Kiss, who's been on previous Dice Friends campaigns, wrote, and that LRR is producing as a way to help showcase creators of color. It's a campaign that LRR has been promoting for the past several weeks, and, IIRC, they first publicly talked about it a few months ago.
It was so fun watching part of the premiere! Wonderful campaign from Kiss. I hope LRR fans allow their minds to expand a bit and welcome such well-established and strong performers in their own right. Congrats on a strong first episode! ✨
My first dice friends was First Law which I really enjoyed! Really cool to see LLR expanding outside of the OG cast and crew and creating new adventures! Looking forward to seeing this :)

I'll admit I wasn't able to get into Kiss's previous campaign, but I really like this one. The sense of intrigue is great, and I really like the deep dive into the technical stuff while investigating.
Missed parts of this live so rewatching it. There is so much here to love. I keep forgetting that this is using the latest dragon game system because it's so much narrative with a skill name or something now and then.
Nothing against this I think it looks neat, it probably could have used a llr person before the video to like let people know it was going to be an all-new group. I feel like without that (even if they have said it in other videos) the group ends up with a slightly antagonist audience
I think the audience should think deeply about why they are antagonize by what they are seeing. They've promoted this work for a while, the title cards are clear. This is as good as any other work they've done.
I mean - we've got Kiss. They're not crew, but they've been a recurring guest and Game Master on Dice Friends for a long time now. We know we're in good hands.
If you were able to catch it live OR watch the VOD on Twitch, there was some core LRR folks introducing the show and making it clear this was an effort to share a platform. Kiss is also not a completely new face but I do hope if you see an antagonistic audience members you take the time to reflect why that is and don't let BIPOC folks suffer those comments for the reasons we all know that usually manifest here. (Also hey hi sorry this is weeks later. In my defense the TH-cam uploads here exploded lol)
You... still can? In almost every one of their videos? They just sometimes give us more content as well with new people. It doesn't mean you're getting less of the core LRR crew than what they can give us. (Also can't help but notice you posted this complaint on a video that's all poc and trans people. We see what you're actually complaining about and it's not a good look, man)

Obviously I cant know what Alex ment, but neither can you. I am personally not stoked about this rendition of dice friends either. Simply due to the fact that I enjoy the crew and they havent played proper dice friends for a bit. Does that somehow make me transphobic? Come on.
@@whoisbatman Oh come on. I am a they and I am a bit disappointed. Yes, this is okay, but if you expect your favorite thing ever and get something else that is just okay it's not great. They appear to me not as confident, not as funny and their audio quality also is not usual LRR-level. I mean: Nelsons audio is so great you can hear him clearly AND his whole family. :P The artwork is really outstanding, though.

Nathaniel has done Dice friends with several of the regulars. As far as I'm concerned he has earned the right to be considered a LRR recurring regular cast member.

After hearing the setup to this curse, I think I get it, and I really hope the audience pays real close attention to what you do with this story.

The DM Nathaniel Kiss is a previous guest on Dice Friends. He pitched this campaign to LRR and the players are his peers/friends.
Snowcookies is close-Kiss ran a casting call for performers. But otherwise yes, we produced the series, Kiss wrote and ran it.

This is a special campaign that LRR is producing that that's featuring creators of color. In short, they're behind the scenes.
