I don't think we really realize how many tragic stories are Harry Potter books. But have you ever realized what horrible stories mothers have in these books? Almost all of them died quite young or lost at least one of their children. And when I realized that I knew what I had to do. I hope you understand this video and I won't get lost in it! But I really tried my best to explain who these characters are and show their tragedy. If you don't know these characters, please check my description and you can easily find all necessary information on the internet! I really enjoy editing underrated/ unknown characters and want to do something like this again. This video was very special to me and oh... I cried several times. It was very heartbreaking. I've never made such a sad video like this.

This is literally the first time I am crying over a fanvid, the parallel of Tom and Harry looking at their mother's picture, Andromeda looking at her dead daughter(Tonks), Hope Lupin watching Remus transform were some of the most beautiful yet painful parts and lastly, Teddy crying over Tonks and Lupin just broke me💔

0:28 this just hit. i lost my mum to cancer a couple of years ago now when i was 17 and even though i'm learning how to be an adult and starting to move forward and look to the future, sometimes i feel like her dying ruined my life and it feels selfish because i know she didn't want to leave me. i wish grief was something i could talk about until it was out of my system, but it isn't. it's just love, and no matter how many times i said i loved her when she was alive, it still doesn't feel like i said it enough times.
this video is so powerful and stunning and real. the harry potter universe feels so much closer to my heart than it already was before her death. sirius was right when he said 'the ones who love us never truly leave us'

Mothers have more power over us and our lives and the people we become than any other person we'll ever know, I think. Their choices, actions, even their mere presence or lack of presence cause ripples that can be felt throughout the entire course of our life. I don't think I've ever seen a video demonstrate this concept more perfectly than this one has - what an absolutely stunning piece of art you've created here. The way you've tied threads together that many of us simply never even thought of and yet they're all flawlessly, and perfectly believable! I'd swear this was canon if I didn't know any better. The casting you used maximized the message of the video so perfectly and so powerfully. If there is a perfect Harry Potter video on TH-cam, this must be it.

Mothers and mother's love (or lack thereof) has a huge impact in the HP universe.
What Tom Riddle and Bellatrix didn't understand is that mother's love is stronger than even death.

After watching this I just really really REALLY need a Merope and Tom edit. With Eve Hewson as Merope Gaunt and Mathew Goode as Tom Riddle Sr. Like you've created the perfect cast! And I always found Merope's story to be heartbreaking.

This is probably one of the most touching and heartbreaking HP fanvideos I've ever seen. The whole casting and the way you mixed the scenes is perfect. The sequence of Frank and Augusta gave me chills, that's really well put together and extremely emotional.

This video is an absolute masterpiece! A mother's love (or the lack thereof) is such a pervasive theme in the book but many times it's just something we hear about second hand, something we see the results of. You've given these mothers center stage and it is beautiful to watch! Heartbreaking, but beautiful

I had this video in my "watch later" playlist for quite some time, because I knew it would absolutely break me once I watched it, and I wanted to save it for a day where I could truly cherish it, and this day is today (my mom was very sick these last couple days, and we feared she might have gotten covid, but PCR turned out negative, so, yay!) It did get me hooked from the start as expected. I loved how you chose to take turns at focusing on one of these motherly figures.

- Luna's story is not told enough times, and I am very thankful that you made room for it!
- 0:44 I screamed her name when I saw Andromeda, we always see her in her younger years, never in the later years, I was hyped immediately
- Hermione's obliviate moment ist still one of the most heartbreaking scenes in this whole series

this edit has just torn me into pieces
If you have just stabbed me in my heart, it would have hurt less than this video did... Since I was trying to make some edits about Marauders era I know how hard it is to put the scenes together, to try not to mix things and you did it perfectly my friend. Ofc I had some help from the discription but the characters and the stories were mainly understandable. And the plot is the heartbreaking thing about your edit.. The sacrifices these mothers did so their children would be safe, the pains, the losts... This is just so so painful to watch... I just cant stop thinking about the dreams they had about being a mother, their dreams about being a happy family with their loved ones, their dreams about their children's future they deserve to see; before the sad ending they got... This is a masterpiece, it really is..💔
This whole thing is beautiful, almost beyond words, but the bits with the Longbottom family pull my heart in ways I feel so much......I hope you go on to do many more amazing things, not just videos.

The fact that this was uploaded 6 months ago just made it so so so much more emotional for me than it already was. 6 months ago my baby boy was born and now I can see it all from a mothers perspective and I would also die, a million times, for my son.

This was MASTERFUL. I sat down expecting the usual suspects: Longbottoms, Potters, Weasleys. But this was so much more, my goodness. For some reason, especially 1:58 got me, with Neville's grandmother (still a mother) flowing flawlessly into Neville's "Thanks mum..." Damn. So beautifully edited. One of the best HP vids I've seen to date.

Dear god, i did not think this story could make me cry this hard again, but you've broken me deeply. No matter whether they were good mothers, terrible, or cruel, every one of these mother-child relationships are deeply tragic and touched by death or loss. Tom and Harry looking at photos of their mothers has my head spinning. I started crying at Pandora, started sobbing at Lily and Dumbledore's conversation with clips of pregnant Petunia, and couldn't believe my eyes at Molly whispering about bravery to her baby right as you switch to Fred's death??? Your cruelty is genius and I want to both frame this and declare it illegal
