Could you pls make clear for me about these:
1. I already know the Formula but when i work with big motor. it is difficult to get the exactly dimensions for the formula. is there other way to get the vertical shim movement?
2. Could you pls explain why using undercut bolt is not acceptable?

As long as you correct the vertical offset by shimming as your first correction, the lasers are reading live and will continuously sense the position through the horizontal correction to bring the shafts into alignment.
