Lao Wen and Ah Xu as bickering husbands. Cheng Ling as their talented, righteous child. And Senior Ye as the legendary grandpa that blesses us with comedic relief and innocent banter. This is what I call a nice family! 😂 Aside from all the lighthearted stuff, I feel for Lao Wen. A part of him wishes he could live comfortably with Ah Xu, no secrets and no hidden agenda, but he knows that his identity is not something that would gain anyone's love or pity. He's scared that the little time he has left with Ah Xu will be taken away if he reveals his identity. What if Ah Xu hates him? What if he leaves and they won't ever get to drink together or sit on the roof and watch the moon all night? What if Ah Xu can't help him? What was the point of all of this? I'm sure thoughts like this are plaguing Lao Wen's mind. It's invisible torture.

AX is really honest and authentic, it feels like he is constantly the one deepening their bond. WKX is very flirty but he's holding so much of himself back it's stopping them from being closer. I love how this drama is written. This episode ended so sweetly and maybe a bit bitter-sweet.
I gotta say - Gong Jun is fantastic as WKX ... his subtle expressions, the way you can see longing and desperation in his face and so easily interprete what he wants to bring across - absolutely fantastic. And that isn't even touching on his expressions when he goes absolutely batsh*t insane.

Ye Bai Yi and Wen Ke Xing's cat and mouse relationship seem like frenemies to me. A’Xu and Lao Wen’s relationship has progressed so much that they are more like a married couple. At 37:21 A’Xu telling Lao Wen he doesn’t want to repeat himself and Lao listened to him without arguing and also at the tucking in bed scene basically is like a wife tucking his drunk husband in bed. I couldn’t help but smile and repeat these scenes over and over again😍😍😍 Sure there is barely any skin-ship but even without it their intimacy level is completely off the roof❤️

Guys let's support Word Of Patience 😂 Let's not be demanding. Subbing is really hard, especially because the show uses a lot of old Chinese analogies and poetry to describe certain situations. A lot of Chinese poetic phrases and idioms used in WOH's script, don't have direct English translations, or sometimes could mean a variety of things... so it takes time for whoever transcribes the subs to get the right translations for the subs. Let's be patient. After all we're all getting these for free. So let's not be too demanding to the admins.
But the subtitles are all already complete. They're just only uploading three episodes a week. If you have VIP, you can get all the way up to 31 with english subs.

That's true. I am a Chinese native speaker, and there are indeed many funny scripts, homophonic jokes/implications and slangs that only native speakers can understand. The current translation is trying its best to keep those funny parts, but I have to say that it still loses half of the joy through translation. For example, some of the words have been changed so that it can go through the Chinese censorship, but Chinese native speakers can recover the original text by lipreading, and I have to say many original words are really GOOD ones (no wonder they may not pass the censorship)...

The ending scene between Lao Wen and Ah'Xu is beautiful. From Ah'Xu's costume to their dialogue, everything. That camera focus on Ah'Xu's hands over Lao Wen as he stops him from pouring the alcohol. Their intense stares. When he reached for Ah'Xu's wounds, his hand. The background music, that bell chime when Lao Wen asks if it hurts, and Ah'Xu recoils as though the question hurt him. The camera angle when he tells Lao We he'll try, and when Lao Wen asks him to turn around. To say it to his face. God, that scene is a masterpiece. They got everything right. I replayed it several times, and I'd save it on my phone if I had it.

Wei Ke Xing has still so much to hide, he is terrified that telling Zhao Zi Shou the truth about himself will destroy his fragile joy to be with Ak Xu a day more, a night more. His hand wishing to reach the wounds on Ah Xu's chest is not only a long, elegant, beautiful hand, but it is carrying all the burden and feeling of his impotence to heal his soulmate. Let's not be demanding. Subbing is really hard, especially because the show uses a lot of old Chinese analogies and poetry to describe certain situations. A lot of Chinese poetic phrases and idioms used in WOH's script, don't have direct English translations, or sometimes could mean a variety of things... so it takes time for whoever transcribes the subs to get the right translations for the subs.
Let's be patient. After all we're all getting these for free. So let's not be too demanding to the admins.
But the subtitles are all already complete. They're just only uploading three episodes a week. If you have VIP, you can get all the way up to 31 with english subs.

That's true. I am a Chinese native speaker, and there are indeed many funny scripts, homophonic jokes/implications and slangs that only native speakers can understand. The current translation is trying its best to keep those funny parts, but I have to say that it still loses half of the joy through translation. For example, some of the words have been changed so that it can go through the Chinese censorship, but Chinese native speakers can recover the original text by lipreading, and I have to say many original words are really GOOD ones (no wonder they may not pass the censorship)...

Their intense stares. When he reached for Ah'Xu's wounds, his hand. The background music, that bell chime when Lao Wen asks if it hurts, and Ah'Xu recoils as though the question hurt him. The camera angle when he tells Lao We he'll try, and when Lao Wen asks him to turn around. To say it to his face.
God, that scene is a masterpiece. They got everything right. I replayed it several times, and I'd save it on my phone if I had it.

Wei Ke Xing has still so much to hide, he is terrified that telling Zhao Zi Shou the truth about himself will destroy his fragile joy to be with Ak Xu a day more, a night more. His hand wishing to reach the wounds on Ah Xu's chest is not only a long, elegant, beautiful hand, but it is carrying all the burden and feeling of his impotence to heal his soulmate. The music, the camera angle, oh yes.. you are such a fine observer... I am happy to have found you here... blessing!
