Yes ,you can use pencil for rough work.if you start writing exam with black pen then end the exam with it,if you start with blue pen then end the exam with blue pen.
My maths teacher also advised to write geometry and graph first for time saving and then exess time after written exam that time is useful to checkout our answers thank u for this vedio👍

Line is not important for maths exam. Only correct steps and answer only important. For other subject only line is very important. But we also consider line for maths
