Star aligner is like the expression of its name suggests it happens so infrequently it might as well not even have a battlecry.

True, but hearthstone's mechanics encourage high draw and game-ending combos. It's pretty much the definition of miracle decks to get an insane swing by drawing through your deck until you find an otherwise hard-to-pull-off combo. That said, Star Aligner doesn't deal 20 damage to face so it's no miracle rogue.
You know what does deal more than 20 damage to face? Play dead on a cubed Charged Devilsaur followed by a Star Aligner. Solid 21 damage to face with a 7 damage board clear.

I would also say Astromancer could find a place in Ele mage. Ele mages usually have a big hand, with all their discover, draw, and generating new minions/spells in hand (Pyros etc) stuff.
Rykehuss especially with spell stone. Elemental mage swings on 7 and loses nothing. Maybe even odd mage
I would not say Ele mage has as big of a hand as Control mage, because its card draw is situational and discover/Pyros is merely self-replacing. However, Stargazer Luna will make it much easier to have a big hand. There is definitely potential.
MunkyDrag0n I've played plenty of Ele mage, and I always have a big hand. Sometimes even too big, I have 8-9 cards in hand every turn in late game and not enough mana to play everything and get max value. Book of Specters is a big contributor to that.

I think one thing to take consideration when it comes to cloning gallery is if it can summon 2 of the same minion on the board. If at most it can only summon 1 copy of a minion, that means you can technically run 14 cards (7 cards with 2 copies each) and still summon every copy of cards in your deck (assuming you haven't drawn both copies) You could even up the number of cards to far more than 14 and still have a rather consistent cloning gallery.
I can see Zerek's Cloning Gallery as very powerful tool in control priest . Imagine having dry hand, and mind visioning it into getting like Lich King, Ysera, Cairne, Obsidian statue etc. And getting similar set next turn. And so on. Kinda like failsafe against not drawing your big cards.
Clonung Device is decent. It lets you see 3 minions in your opponents deck. You could see a Deathwing there, you know you hava to play around him, which could make him useless, you could copy a shudder, and just play him earlier to screw with the enemy.
One dity combo Kripp missed is to use blightnozzle crawler with sonya. Player pop the crawler, then play sonya and basicly can machine-gun everything on other side of the borad with respawing ozzes. Then shadowstep sonya, keep one ozze in hand and you basicly holding enemy board hostage

The card that‘s meant to be played alongside Zerek‘s cloning gallery is the Priest Quest. You just need a deck with a whole lot of deathrattle minions. A whole lot...
I'm gonna play a wild mech warrior with double Dr. Boom, seems like fun and a deck that can get me to 500 ranked wins, because until now I haven't had a good idea for what to do with warrior.
Panthror ikr is hard to get a good idea with warrior when most decks are wallet warriors but this new mech one seems to be reallt cool
I think there's a genuinely viable mill-rogue deck for Pogo-Hopper. 2x Gang Up, 2x the new gang up minion, 2x pogo-hopper, 2x minstrel, 2x coldlight, Death Knight, + backstab, eviscerate and other control tools. If you want to be super greedy you can add the Kingsbane package as well. Might be pretty good

The thing with Astromancer that gives it an advantage over Spiteful is the fact you don't need to restrict the spells you put in your deck to those costing 10 mana, which is a big deal for Mage
so i did some thinking, and honestly, the only way i can really think of to get star alligner to consistently go off is through the use of arcane giants, whirlwind, and something that'll allow you to play enough spells for it. but even then it's incredibly convoluted and unnecessary to make it very practical to do at all.

First glance at Zerek's Cloning Gallery I thought it's meant to get a copy of minions that you need to get on the board, after they die you're set up for a big priest combo. Might work better in Wild with Emperor to reduce costs to cards.

Cloning device might make big priest pretty powerful in wild. Tripling the chance at hitting barnes by turn 4 has to make it much more consistent.
The legendary priest spell seems like a mind blast combo card hitting 2 radiant elemental, malygos, lyra, etc. Then just trying to build up mind blasts via shadow vision type effects.
Zack wont happen since you can easily draw your minions
You can stack enough spell damage in your deck so that doesn't matter / use baleful bankers for malygos and velen (the important ones). If that fails, setup the OTK via spellstone. I'm not saying that it'll be good, but it might be (and I don't want that, 0 interactivity sucks)

I can definitely see the combo potential of star aligner in combo druid with kun having 7 health, ixlid, faceless manipulator, splintergraft, zola the gorgon and the new druid legendary flobbidinous floop.
Hunting Mastiff x4 + Cybertech Chip, boom 4 cards with mech synergy just got added to your hand. If Mech Hunter becomes a big deal then it might be pretty good.
Cloning Device is alright because you can see 3 minions in your opponent’s deck which means you will very likely know exactly what type of deck they’re playing and thus can play around it.
Especially strong in Wild then I suppose, because in Standard you pretty much know what deck you're playing against as soon as you see their class (at least at rank 5+).
You could play two of the 8/8 rush treant discount guys abd the gloop sprayer in the same turn
Gonna enjoy stripping those annoy-o-tron things apart, might need a bit of help with the pogo-hoppers though.
The 2 mana 2/3 spells cost one less.. play that from hand, spell costs 8.. get one more of those on the board with even velen still missing you can get 20-30 damage from mind blast.. that doesn’t seem THAT impossible. I think we’ll be surprised how often that actually happens

With the druid weapon you Can do that in only One turn! Fantastic!

Actually now that you mention that if you throw in the new Flobbidinous Floop legendary you can actually do:
- Malygos
Then Assuming it gets removed.
- Flobbidunous Floop 4 Mana Malygos
- Faceless Manipulator
- Attack to get 10 mana
- Prince Taldaram
- Innervate
- Gloop Sprayer
- Moonfire with 5 Malygos for 26 damage or two for 52.
And if the first malygos didn't get removed then its 31 or 62.
Velen otk appreciates the legendary spell I think, just the ability to have all your targets for the revival is good.
Am I wrong in thinking that Giggling Inventor would be really good in Token Druid? Could also be used in Shudderwock, since it's a battlecry effect, though it'd probably just get in the way. Could work in Paladin or Odd Paladin.. If Evolve Shaman was still a thing it'd be great in that too.
I'm kinda surprised kripp didn't mention the obvious synergy between Gloop Sprayer and Mulchmuncher. That can be 4 8/8 rush and a 4/4 for 8 mana
I would expect astromancer to work like Twilight and Midnight drakes... If you play them with 10 cards in hand the card still counts itself in the hand size, making the card have 10 health/attack... same thing with mountain giant, you dont magically pay an extra mana when you play mountain giant, cards with hand size effects always use your original hand size to calculate... now honestly blizzard has been super inconsistent in the past with other effects so maybe Kripp will be right anyway XD

I think that Cybertech Chip could be a great addition to Spell Hunter. It would give Spell Hunter some desperately needed flexibility without changing the gimmick.
With cloning gallery just play it in spell stone priest. It is literally 9 mana summon all your combo pieces. Then you play spell stone and you kill your opponent. Equally if you have maly velen and radiant in your deck you do 48 damage with mind blast holy smite holy smite
Cloning device can be way better than shadow visions. Imagine you get hadronox from druid a bunch of times. Pretty good

So quest priest with a million silences is going to a very interesting... Especially against the Dr. Warrior...
So regarding Star Aligner, I actually do see potential for it in one deck. It could potentially work its' way in to Shudderwock. Run this, and a Boistrous Bard, and when you play your Shudderwock this triggers 90% of the time. Particularly useful after Primordial Drake rotates out, for the control variants.
This, of course, assumes we'll see some kind of Dopplegangster effect come in before the end of the year, because the deck relies on it so much.
In the short term, I'd be pretty surprised to see this make the cut in any decks. two seven health minions on the board before it and actually needing a board clear or seven damage removal just isn't realistic. Maybe some kind of Snow Flipper/Hand Buff deck, for the memes? Even then, it seems like you're dedicating your deck to a gimmick that loses to hard removal. Might as well play an Ancient One deck instead.

Giggling Inventor also loses to mossy horror which is a neutral card and follows inventor on curve.
Step 1: Have Hadronox die
Step 2: Play Gloop Sprayer
Step 3: Have Flobbidinous Floop in hand
Step 4: Play 2 Witching Hours and "Floop as the Gloop" and enjoy 4 Handronoxes! Value overload

What Yargo means is that they're like 2/1 and 1/3 to the defile, they would still be alive as 2 1/1s

I feel like kripp was a bit too harsh on that priest spell. It practically reveals the opponents game plan when played on turn 2; you get a good minion 99% of the time, because why would anybody run anything other than good minions? Yeah, maybe not synergistic with your deck, but there are a hell of a lot stealing effects in priest to give you that synergy. Sure, might be a dead card when approaching fatigue, but shadow visions could be too. Not broken because you have to pay that 2 mana cost and the minion is not discounted, but very powerful to me.
Btw the 5 mana that summons 2 annoy o trons dont get rekt by defile as its 2/1 and 2 1/2 with divine shield which counts as they got 3 hp so you still have board after....irrelevant or not
Giannis Xouliaras just pop divine shield on one annoy-o-tron or play a 2 health minion before. It's still easily countered.

Giannis Xouliaras not if the minion generated value before, generate value by dying or somehow survives, which is pretty easily done in Warlock. Just a random voidwalker created by an already dead voidlord could do the trick, and that's only if there is no 2 health minion on the opponent's side.
Also, we are talking about Warlock here : hero power + defile = 4 mana with neutral CA so you can afford to lose a minion and still beat a 5 drop with 4 mana and equal CA loss.
And let's not talk about Godfrey.
Would Defile really counter Giggling Inventor though? Sure it would get rid of the Giggling Inventor's body but you'd still have two 1/1 taunts up regardless.
Kripp, I don't play much Hearthstone, but I have watched you A LOT since like GvG. The knowledge that I have gained over all these years, watching your videos all this time has today culminated in what I really genuinely believe is the ultimate "overtake the master" situation: STAR ALIGNER IS ABSOLUTE FUCKING GARBAGE, wtf Kripp?
Okay I'm really starting to wonder, was Brode a flavour checker or something, because these cards feel like they are random dudes with random effects that just fit the classes, but other than that it's like someone pissed in the wind.

Pogo hopper looks, bad but bouncing it back looks fun, against a slow deck you could make a huge pogo hopper.
Bouncing back a single Pogo Hopper repeatedly is really bad considering a large Pogo Hopper can still be silenced or destroyed easily. The true potential comes from using lab recruiter to add more to your deck or Sonya Shadowdancer to add them back to your hand.
Pogo Hopper is the new "Jade" deck, but they can be silenced....It Will be a superdeck for me btw
Yeah just bouncing it is pretty bad since you don’t get tempo from the minion you played. You’d need a fair amount of draw and gang-up effects to make the card useful.

With star aligner, battlecries happen before the minion hits the board. Therefore, you would actually need to have three minions. Yeah, I’m gonna write this card off.
The one instance I can think of off the top of my head with this wording, Fight Promoter, counts itself.
Defin Carna They just need to settle this problem once and for all so that we don’t have to go through this problem every time a new expansion is announced.
Quasar Wess If this were true the Deathwing would kill itself. Like I responded above, the wording is extremely inconsistent and needs a general rework. This wording on the cards worked better when the game was more simple and the cards had less extreme effects.
