Reminder:this isn't just unused, but also unfinished. There was going to be more to this theme before Toby simply scrapped it. It's a shame, but I'm not complaining, it's counterpart in the final game turned out great.
Funnily enough, in Chapter 2, if you talk to the King before going to the Cyber World, he'll say that his son would've been fine because he's incredibly... bouncy.

Nah, I personally think some variant of Nightmare Knight would work better for the Roaring Knight. Bits of the leitmotif is clearly there (i.e in The Chase and the theme that plays when Susie and Kris open the door to Castle Town), so Toby's aware of its existence.

The one used ingame fits much better than the unused one, but that doesn’t mean the unused one is bad by any means. Could be used for a King rematch where he goes all serious, like if Kris suddenly turned evil or something. Great remix. Love it!
I love this remix so much! It fits a tyrannical ruler like Chaos King so well. I can hear, see, and feel the armies marching at the command of the King. Hands down one of the best remixes, I have ever heard.

This may be used for the KNIGHT one day, it seems fitting.
