I wish I had that to a supportive wife. In my case when I lost my bike in an accident she took my insurance money and used it for something else. I'm not mad about it, but I am struggling right now to save for another bike. What I thought I was going to be having enough on my birthday in August of 2024 to get my bike back I think I'm going to have to wait a little longer, and it's killing me.

My first and only bike I had was a gsxr 750 I put blood sweat an soul into that thing. Long story short in the mist of me losing a child and being in the hospital a guy I knew that would help me work on the bike. Stole my bike sold it to move to Virgina and I never saw the bike or him again.

I bet that's a very fast bike. Sounds fantastic! Friend of mine let's me ride his Katana 600 but it's also very fast, too fast for me. I've never owned a cbr but I do have the injuries to prove I've ridden a lot of different bikes. Started with a suziki rm 125, and then upgraded to a honda cb450, and then upgraded to a honda magna, and then to nighthawk 750. Currently ride a 2012 wr450f dirtbike, cause that's all my wife let's me ride, out in the dirt. Bikes are great but are also very injury prone. So far i've received 2 front broken teeth, a broken pelvis, a right broken leg, 23 stitches on my left lower leg, and a dislocated shoulder. Just be careful and have a lot of fun, thanks for posting!

congratz though, I just recently bought a 2009 and I've been cleaning her up, and doing general maintenance. Its crazy how recongnizeable yours is to mine despite the age difference. The subframe looks like it was refined or redesigned a little but it looks like it would bolt right up to my frame. Im wondering if theres any better subframes i can be using apposed to my stock 2009.
the 2009 cbr1000rr subframe is already very lightweight as it's made from aluminum. if you go on Google and type 2009 cbr1000rr lightweight subframe you will see they sell even lighter versions of the OEM subframe you have for the track guys you may want to look into that.

I’m 63 now and in my youth was as excited as you, and still do get excited. This chap has obviously, and tragically caught a terminal case of the cranky old twats. It’s quite sad really because along time ago he actually had fun 🤩 I will say this though, and only because your such a nice family. Before you do stunts like this at least cover your arms.
