پوشش الکترود ها و یا همان سیم جوش ها بسته به نوع الکترود متفاوت است. مواد تشکیل دهنده پوشش های الکترود ها بسته به نوع کاربرد آنها و نوع جوشی که می دهند مانند دما، عمق نفوذ، آلیاژ، و... متفاوت است. با الکترودی که روکش نداشته باشد نمی توان جوشکاری کرد. گاهی اوقات پیش خواهد آمد که مجبور به کج کردن الکترود هستیم ولی این موضوع تا جایی که گل الکترود ترگ برندارد و یا از روی میله الکترود نریزد ایرادی ندارد و اگر ترگ بردارد و یا بریزد دیگر نمی توان با آن الکترود کار کرد و یا کار تمیز تحویل گرفت. برای مشاهده توضیحات بیشتر کلیپ را مشاهده کنید.
