I stand by "Imma Bear Grylls anything that blocks my dream I' going to eat it up" as one of the most hilarious and great lyrics of all time.

Changbin's rap in Miroh is easily one of my favorite out of every group. That part is just masterpiece !

Fun fact: 미로 (miro) is the Korean word for "maze". Which, as you also point out, refers to the concrete jungle of the city with its strict rules imposed by the elites. Their goal is navigating this rough jungle, finding their way through the maze to come out victorious. Maybe sing a Victory Song at the end, who knows?
Last year my Spotify must have thought that this was my favourite song because every time it auto-played something after an album or a playlist was done, it would be Miroh. I'm not complaining because the song is amazing, but I am glad to get a bit more variety these days.
And hearing it less often these days makes me appreciate the times this song completely destroys the club even more. Seriously, this must be the biggest EDM club banger in Kpop. It's insanity.
Hyunjin with short hair does look a bit odd(inary), doesn't he? He found such an iconic look with his longer hair now.
Your last point about music saving lives and bringing people together is so true. Music, whatever the genre may be, gives me the strength to keep going, even on my worst days. And I've met some wonderful people through Kpop that I wouldn't want to miss in my life. Powerful stuff.
Miroh is the first part of a little trilogy, the second part is Side Effects which will probably completely melt your brain. Looking forward to that whenever you get to it :P

This song will forever be a bop. Miroh is still one of my favorite "older" Stray Kids songs.

Well explains why their name is "Stray Kids" they literally ASTRAY from the society's norms and also means how lost & stray they felt while growing up and discovering themselves, identity crisis? Maybe one the major reasons why they are my ULT. They know exactly how I feel for real 🙏🏻✨

Don't know what the consensus is among the fandom (I'm just a regular listener of SKZ), but I'm a REALLY huge fan of their adolescent days/older sound (love the electronic influences). Don't get me wrong, they're more mature now, have evolved their sound, and I still like their current music, more or less....but nothing beats their older material personally. Think "Miroh" was the first SKZ song I heard and it still bangs. Nice to listen to it again...good reaction.

I understand what you're trying to say. I love their old releases too (i would prefer to term it that way since some of their releases now were made way back or at the same time with these 'older sound'). They don't have their definite sound in their early years, they're still exploring so they have covered a lot of genres but one thing that doesn't change is their energy. I feel like whether it's old or new release, it would still give the unique vibes SKZ has. And I agree that they have matured and evolved their sound more. Going thru their entire discography is such a journey.

Their older songs felt more raw.
Their recent songs are more refined.

The Maori Haka dance was incorporated into this. Bang Chan had friends who taught him about it, so he worked hard to learn it and wanted to incorporate it.

Your end thoughts were beautiful and I completely agree. Music can save people and change lives. It is a universal language, even for those who cannot hear but still feel the beat. It helps us to share our hearts with each other, which is a beautiful thing 🥲

I just wanna say that I been watching your videos in like background voice while I do homework (like I usually consume reactions) and I had to stop and really hear what you were saying because I was amaze of how do you analize things in your reactions. I'm a big Stay since debut era and I didnt really saw and understand half of what you say in stray kids content. I think that now I understand and love stray kids' music more than before and I wanted to thank you for that.
(I'm sorry if there is mistakes in my writing, english isn't my first lenguage either lol)

Here a summary of their story line :)
Anyways, here's a rundown of what happened from District 9 to Levanter chronologically. Which I suggest u should definitely check out first (if u still haven't) to fully appreciate the prequel video (the title tracks of each album are in parentheses) *Hellevator (predebut) kind of presented the "elevator" element all through out the series. This symbolically let them ascend from the "hell" that their lives where in before they debut, and was a recurring element in the concepts whenever the storyline moves from one place to another. the elevator was all ragged down and burned in the Levanter MV, which I think bears a symbolism which I'll explain later. "I AM" trilogy series:
    1. I AM NOT (District 9) : they "escaped" the system that is trying to control them (a symbolism for going against society's imposed norms). notice how the MV ended in them changing from the "Factory" all-white clothes to the "literally STRAY" clothing.
    2. I AM WHO (My pace) : they were on themselves outside the "system" and explores the themes of realizing that taking on the challenge of going against the norms would sometimes make you feel like you're lagging behind everybody else. But then they comfort you with the thought that we would all get to our destination no matter what your "pace" is.
    3. I AM YOU (I am YOU): The song is more melancholic yet comforting, as they remind each other that they have each other on the challenge that they took. The concept of the MV has more of the "urban" and "rooftop" vibe, in preparation for MIROH. "Cle" (Key)
Series: 4. Cle 1 (MIROH) : After the comfort of "I AM YOU", they tapped on some confidence saying that they all took this path of being in the " ROUGH CITY JUNGLE" (a symbolism for the state of carrying UNORTHODOX VIEWS and the dangers of it) and that they are responsible for it. This surge of confidence is an opposite of the next one, "Side effects".
    5. Cle 2 Yellow wood (Side effects): this is where they begin to doubt their choices of being "non-conforming" to society's mold. The moon started spliting into two here, symbolising the two roads that they could take (conformity or non-conformity). While they press towards the non-conforming road, they discuss here how the thoughts of "could have beens" are pressuring them to take the other. In short, they are confused in holding on to their core principles, to the point that it "Makes their head hurt". The split screen depicting them riding on the BUS (symbol for conformity) and the OFF-ROAD VEHICLE (symbol for non-conformity) on their way to the next city highlights this idea. They would later regain themselves after all the internal conflict to show that they didn't mind all the side effects of their decisions and instead unite on one goal.
    6. Double Knot (it was only a pre-release single for Levanter, but had a fair contribution to the story line) The split moon was still depicted here as they managed to enter the city, and they basically tell themselves to go tighten their shoelaces and get back on track after all the things that happened in side effects. this was the build up to the climax of Levanter.
    7. Cle 3 (Levanter) : definition: the great eastern wind of the mediterranean sea. Here, they kind of finally "let go" of their ambition of changing the "system" altogether, as they kind of realized that pressing towards that goal took them away from themselves and did them more bad than good. It cost them so much things that they had to finally let go of it (note that "it" could also mean anything from a person, an ambition or a relationship idk). The "Levanter" (Spanish word that could also figuratively mean "to rise up") was like a Eureka moment for them, together with the scenes of a broken city and the "elevator" that they so much depended on. They entered the door to the "New world" without the ticket, which they burned after realising that they themselves are the key to the better place that they yearn to go to. The joining of the two moons sealed the deal, as the supposed "two roads" which symbolised their struggle to figuring out their life decisions became one.
This leads up to a renewed confidence in GO LIVE (God's menu) and IN LIFE (backdoor), where they take a deeper control of their principles (more realistic and less self destructive) as they mature.

Just for you to know maybe you noticed they where actually 9 memebers here. I know some STAYs dont like to talk abot it but one of the members left the group in 2019 with no explanation. It was a very sad thing for the fandom at that time. The members name was Woojin and his a soloist now. Any way, just a random fact about it

I really like your interpretation of skz music, it's very witty, it makes me fall deeper for their music, there's another old skz song that i think you might like too, it's called "double knot", I'm excited for how you gonna interpret it, though you can react to it anytime u feel like to, there's no rush.
Thank you for reacting to miroh!

This kind of song just make my heart beat. Fighting not to get crushed or choke by society is a very simple but yet incredibly strong topic that can get me very emotional on a short time xD There's more songs of Stray Kids that I like musically speaking, but ATEEZ is very talented in that field too (can't wait for their comeback btw).

Well, as usual I share much of your thoughts on the meaning, and our love for Skz is undeniable... i think this is one of the most iconic songs they've released. I'm just in love with it and I expected you to react to the mv and you did, just loved it! The rapping is perfect in this song, the chorus and the transitions, the crescendo of the beat amazes me, they've got it all! I also can't wait for you to react to Kingdom, cuz I've seen it all and you'll be mesmerised, not only by them but also by Ateez, you'll see. Kisses to you, take care, and oh, I love your hair!

I have been a subscriber for your Stray Kids reactions but actually have a request for AKMU’s Hey Kid, Close Your Eyes. Recently saw that video and was totally blown away by it and would love to see your breakdown. I listened to that song for ages just because it’s a great song but never bothered to look into what it was about. Now that I know I’m even more impressed by its depths, and am curious about your take on it!
