hyunsik my man is a sensitive, romantic artist who we know hates competition, loves to walk, shop, draw and swim on his own. We also know he's only ever used those fingers for the instruments he's so obssessed with haha. But honestly when I first saw him, he did NOT look like it LOL. His muscles, the way he speaks, and the vibes he gives off when he doesn't smile makes him look like a gangster AHAHAH.
NO, I don't mean the 'I'm-a-pretty-but-bad-boy' kpop look. I mean like he could literally go and hit someone and they'll give all their money to him. In this video too. I straight up laughed when Eunkwang tried to act bad and everyone also looked very cute.
But when hyunsik stepped out of that black caravan, the genre changed and it felt like he was the only one in the I'll Be Your Man era LOL
totally agree!!! When Hyunsik smiles he's like an angel. But when he is serious he looks dangerous. Btw love his gangster like looks )))))
This is by far my favorite BTOB MV because it deals with real crisis situations with hope, which is just what the song talks about--don't give up. As a teacher, I know that most students in those kinds of situations don't give school another try, but BTOB encourages people to keep trying even when it's very hard. I love them! Thanks for reacting to this and I look forward to the live stages. I agree that it's very easy to miss the genius of their songs when you watch their MVs.
For me the mv depict the song too. Like young ppl like Changsub lost their way --- drop out, a theft, a bully in school, a broken friendship between ilhoon and Hyunsik because of a boxing competition, disturbed Ilhoon because of school, friends and his boxing carreer + they lost their housing. Laters, they get involved in a gang to beat up the ppl who refuse to leave where they live. At the end of everything, the three main characters --- Changsub Hyunsik and Ilhoon, finally fixed things up. They became friends again, Changsub went back schooling, Ilhoon won the boxing and his family got their house back. Hyunsik is not longer jealous that ilhoon was choosen for the boxing tournament. All three find their way back home (or they finally get their feet back at the right path).

While the mv of their other song, IT'S OKAY, shows the daily struggles one might be having and gives comfort and healing at the same time..this WAY BACK HOME mv shows real life issues such as poverty, bad friends/influence, school drop outs, illegal works, bullying..and gives message that one shouldn't feel alone & troubled & should follow the right path to have a good life. These guys are really good actors and though they may put some humor in the mv..still, the acting is good and the message is clear.
FUN FACT: That was real blood on Ilhoon's lips coz during the shooting of the fight scene between Hyunsik and Ilhoon, Hyunsik accidentally punched Ilhoon for real and his lips bled and they continued with the shoot. That shooting day was Ilhoon's birthday so he received a birthday punch as a gift.😊

Thanks for the reaction. Way back home is the second song in the ballad trilogy which made them famous and was their first music show win. I don't think it was considered risky since they didnt have a lot of success before that but from what i saw it was unusual to promote a ballad as the title track.

btob’s ballad trilogy (it’s okay, way back home and remember that) mvs are all like this. more drama than anything else and its fun! it’s something you need to watch thrice: once for the drama, second for the music and third just to take it all in.
other than the live stage, which is great as always, the rapper line+sungjae sang this song on live radio once!! it was hilarious but they still sounded great!
Saludos desde Venezuela, con esta canción BTOB se ganó su primer Win en programas musicales. La parte de la pelea fuerte es una escena muy de doramas jejeje...se supone que son habitantes de ese sector protestando por qué los van a desalojar para urbanizar y manda a “matones” para golpearlos, Illhon se da cuenta que su mamá está entre los protestantes y empieza a evitar que la golpeen. Un dramón 😂 pero me encanta. Gracias por tus reacciones a BTOB.😊
