Simply stunning! I know it would look fantastic on your "shelf of fame", but hear me out. You absolutely must see to it that it gets put back into a 1955 collector car. That is automotive history and they truly don't make 'em like that anymore. The sound of that "honk" is from the days when people you honked at would say "thank you; my mistake" instead of instantly getting road rage.
Because I'm an old Russian, I remember how these car horns sounded - clearly and very loudly. Maybe TH-cam spoils the sound, but it seems bad. And I can’t come up with a reliable explanation of how a car horns made in the Soviet Union two years after Stalin’s death could have got into the United States? I was pleased to see how you restored a piece of history. I’m happy to like your video.
he said in the captions that he turned down the volume for the video since it was quite loud, so what we hear isn't exactly what it sounds like. Secondly, he is not the USA, but in northern Europe.
My wife saw me watching these videos, and now she wants me to fix a PS4 dualshock controller. I don't even have a precision toolset. Great work, by the way!
Not gonna lie by the end of the video I turned down the volume waiting for the test sound and then he already had adjusted the volume for us 😌 thank you kind sir
I work as a mechanic in a motor repair shop. Having access to all my own tools and the shop equipment 24/7 and watching these videos gives me way too many ideas. I don't even know where to start 😂
Just in case anyone is wondering why this was reuploaded, when he sands the bit with the factory information on it the original video said "I have no idea what this says". I'm guessing it was taken down to be re-edited with the factory info. Thanks for being thorough!
18:54 You should clean these contacts and the parts next to them. And after setting and adjusting the sound, you need to screw on the second nut, the so-called counterattack. Thanks to this first nut will not loosen and the sound of this horn will not change.

That horn is loud lol. I don't blame you for not playing it too much. Cars would get out of the way of that thing just to see if the traffic is still moving! 🤣
I thought first you’d paint it black like it seems to have been, but that is a very attractive red and a shiny dome part makes it even prettier! This is something worthy of being on a pimped car. 📯🚗
Another awesome restoration job! "Great job bro"! I love your sense of humor in these videos. It makes them that much more enjoyable to watch! I would be proud ro have that horn in one of my vehicles! Great work! :-)
Oh my god I seriously thought I was already subscribed to you dude! Apparently I wasn't; your videos are great, I especially love the old gaming system ones!
Such a beautiful horn that makes such an un-beautiful sound
IMO it would be even more beautiful if he'd painted it dark blue...
*honks in soviet*
Maybe. But it DID garner attention.
Tim Ohgee he was trying to spare the horns feelings...
it sounded like a fart lmao
Ah, the road rage stories this horn can tell...
Gotta change that “multi spray” label to “loose juice” 😂
Flunkyvs Lacky it’s okay. Lol.

its amazing that sometimes regardless of how old and beat up an item is. *sometimes* the screws look significantly better condition. like almost untouched by time and the elements
Most of those screws haven't been removed since these items were made...no removal means no chance of oxidation...
Arty Splash air got inside the horn Itself from the bell you dweeb. In the tiny little screw holes, there’s no fresh air which means no oxidation.
Then other times, the screws, and only the screws, look like they've have been in a river for 40 years. While the rest looks brand new.

Приятно знать, что советская автоарматура 1955 года из города Ленинград работает до сих пор. Делали на совесть. Простая, но качественная конструкция.
Me: *Sees that the horn is being assembled*
Also me: Lets crank up the volume to hear all that juicy ASMR
Horn: And I took that personally
I never thought that I would be smiling while watching a video of a guy restoring and then test sounding a horn from the 50's
Thank you so much for reducing volume on the horn. Volume normalization in content like this is severely underappreciated.
