Yvette, you do not pay letting agent fees anymore. Just rent and deposit. If your letting agent asked you for more than that, it is against the Tenant Fee Ban of June 1st 2019. Query this with them.

What I've discovered form working in zone 1 is there is no point trying to also live in zone 1, it will destroy your budget. Not just because it's hard to find a decent size place on a budget there, but also because it might not save you any money on public transport if that's what you plan to use (talking about buses, tubes and trains where Oyster cards and contactless payment are valid). There is a daily cap of £7.20 between zone 1 and 2 destinations - this is exactly the same as the cap if you were only travelling between zone 1 destinations. But it is much easier to find decent flats on a budget in zone 2 than zone 1. Any further out and the daily travel cap goes up, and even the extra £1.30 for zone 3 can really add up over the course of a month if you're working 5+ days a week.

Renting has its pros and cons, I don't rent in London I rent in somerset and the biggest con for me are the very restricting rules.
You have to step soo carefully with the property.
The biggest pro at least for me is the landlord.
my advice is to check out the landlord first before the property and not the other way around.
It's served me well so far

Those places are calling "gettos". I've been in London since 11 years ago. The rent market sucks, BIG TIME. Is getting more common "the flat splits", basically get a 1 or 2 rooms flat, e.g., and do "5 small studios", overpraices shittyholes and poor quality overall. You can find good places with good pleople, but is really hard. Anyways, try to move around London, zones 5-6 and beyond, save money to BUY a place asap. Renting is not worthy any more. Also, no more money waste on agency fees, thanks God, as people commented.

How is this racist? You need to learn what that word means before loosely using it on the internet.
Here is the definition of racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
In her video, she is stating which areas have crime and which don't. There is nothing racist about that. Unfortunately, every single city has these areas and this is useful information for people who are looking to avoid such areas.
