  • The Behavioral Health Crisis Response Training Program - a 40-hour comprehensive course designed to prepare participants to effectively support individuals, families, and communities during behavioral health crisis situations. Developed through a partnership between the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Wayne State University School of Social Work, this innovative training equips participants with best practices using the CARES model: Connecting with those in crisis, Assessing concerns, conducting Risk assessments, Engaging in collaborative response planning, and providing Support post-crisis. Through interactive lessons, hands-on scenarios, and expert instruction, participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to join the ranks of Michigan's dedicated crisis response professionals.
