Damn I really wish Schmidty could've been on the winning side of that handshake! He was such a great Capital! Can't imagine how it feels after being there all them years they couldn't get over the hump and then seeing them do it as soon as u leave at your new teams expense!
Ray Borque won it in his last game, but it was the second Cup for Colorado in 6 seasons. Ovi has ways to go, but it is Washington's first in their 44 year history. They're both just as special.
Ray Bourques was more emotional. He waited for nearly double the time Ovi did. 22 years of legendary icon and finally can could retire with the well deserved cup. But yes, Ovi did it with his motherteam.
@@joshuasudduth2877 No doubt about it. The background song played for the presentation from Remember The Titans made it more special and memorable. I'm a Sharks fan, we got knocked out in Round 2 that year by the Golden Knights but I admit it was a great feeling that our new No.1 rival got beaten at home and had to see the opponent win the Stanley Cup and lift it. I nearly cried from because of it.
Ill never get tired of ovis reaction to finally lifting that cup
I've watched this 50,000 times and still get teary eyed!!!

Ovechkin, Backstrom, Trots... class act ALL the way. Nobody deserves this more.
Background song is Remember The Titans, Titans Spirit by Trevor Rabin.
As a caps fan, happy for the Knights finally getting their cup tonight. Lots of respect.
1:48 Nate Schmidt is such as class act. I know he is best friends with all the guys from the caps
Peter I know I’m late, but losing him was heartbreaking. Glad he’s doing well with the Knights though
I couldn't be happier... This was like watching the sabres winning a cup to me...
Maybe one day Buffalo can win a Cup.
The most remarkable display of skill here is Gary Bettman pretending he doesn’t hear everyone booing him every time he has a microphone.
2:01 lol ovi saying fleury started it . love that
Who’s here when the Washington capitals celebrate the 4 year anniversary since winning the Stanley CUP. #ALLCAPS
7:12 ladies and gentlemen the stanley cup!
Vegas isn’t even skating the ice with the cup. Had to watch this again!
We not going to be suck…. Well, that about sums it up!!!!!
Jeez Doc sounds so reluctant to call this historical moment
who's first cup was greater Ray Bourque or Ovechkin
Ovechkin
Ray Borque won it in his last game, but it was the second Cup for Colorado in 6 seasons. Ovi has ways to go, but it is Washington's first in their 44 year history. They're both just as special.
Zane Marte I simply agree with you on this one ovi's cup raise was the greatest one ever in my book.
