Such a gorgeous summer tour - epic is not the word for it - beautiful, lush worthy of charging admission! I wonder if the tree with birch-like bark on you step might be an alder. We have some here with similar leaves. I LOVE goats - would have them in a heartbeat if I lived in the country - one of the best pets for kids (I mean children lol!). I don't remember seeing a cat at your before - is it new? How you, Laura and the kids (I mean children) continue to have a terrific summer!

I made a huge batch a few years ago, and have recycled for repots since then. I keep a large tub of soil and turn in some fresh perlite from time to time.
