interesting to see if the health and safety lot start pushing this sort of tree removal so no staff are working of the ground as an alternative to bucket trucks and definitely climbing.
excellent set up you have 👍

I've never operated a Manitou rig this small ,but if it's made like Manitou cranes then it's the best in the world ,it reminds me of a 54ft Skytrak only with 4 outriggers vs the 2 on the Skytrak ,plus the ability to swing the boom makes this machine out of sight .

I'm wondering is it difficult to operate seams like a highly skilled job to have that makes things so much easier.

How do you get the crane to the site? Aren't you kind of close to the high voltage lines? It appears you are far closer than the 25' minimum.

George Welles We were at least 10 feet away from the wires, which is all we needed as far as I know. This was part of a large project for a city, so we just drove the machine to each tree, otherwise it has to be on a lowboy trailer.

Ben Kempa we simply put it in the box of the log loader truck and from there brought it to a wood dump, there they grind it in a large wood grinder

Should have taken this tree down facing the other way the power lines would be in the operators eye site at all times stay away from them they will kill you even if you don't hit them. look the job over before you begin get a safe game plan.
