Omg baby Dallas is soooo precious!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I have a 13mth old son and now I’m just obsessed with babies! Lol ….when my boy had the worst diaper rash I just kept him naked as much as possible, slathered the thickest layer of ointment and used a receiving blanket to loosely cover his behind which helped contain messes. Feel better soon baby! 🥰

I love how you say “ I can’t “ and cut it😊because you have so much other stuff to deal with. Having the plants outside during the summer is so rewarding, I know some ppl don’t because of the transition back in but I love it. You winter routine is similar to what I do except I use peppermint Castile soap, soak the pots in a big tub and spray the leaves. I look forward to your next video.

This is the only reason I’m somewhat thankful I don’t have a covered porch to put a bunch of plants on outside 😅 but the way they would thriveeeeee ugh I want a porch so baddd🥲

Oh my goodness gracious, Dallas is soooo cute!!! I'm in NY and we had the weather dip really low at night a couple of weeks ago sending me into a frenzy of bringing in all the plants.....really stressful. I finally was able to spray them down, wiped them with a micro fiber glove and place them in their fall/winter spots. I lost 2 little rooting plants and a lot of my smaller hoya were wrinkled because i couldn't get to them until I took care of the bigger plants. I was cheering you on with chopping down the pothos. sometimes you just need to cut them back to spur more growth. It looks so happier with the haircut too!

Thank you so much! Isn’t is such a huge task, every year I feel like it sneaks up on me. I need to get a microfiber glove. At leave you got it done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@@PeanutsPlants it sure is!!! the planning and cleaning them up to bring them in a lot earlier than anticipated was NOT fun. especially since I had a lot going on at the time. I also did not account for the huge growth spurts a lot of them had. I really needed to take time out to arrange them.
Feels so good to be done. It took me a whole weekend. Also, those microfiber gloves have my leaves looking soooo good! The sheen is unreal. some plants look fake LOL

So much work! With those gangly pothos I usually pick the vines that have the best looking growth at the end, chop them to a manageable length and plant back in the mother pot. I then just chop and toss all of the long empty vines that were in between. The remaining roots send out new bushy growth and the transplanted sections of vine take off growing before too long :-) I just don’t have room for a super long trailing vine in the house 🤷🏻‍♀️ Good luck with the rest of the move!

    • @PeanutsPlants
      @PeanutsPlants  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, so much work and that was just half of it. I so wish I would have thought to do that, chop some and just stick it back in the pot. Thanks so much for watching 🥰

I imagine it’s SO much work moving so many plants outdoors and then especially back indoors !! They look so beautiful set up on your porch though. I would totally move them back and forth also with that space 😍 Let me know how the mosquito bits work! I’ve heard a lot about em but never used them ✨💛

I always enjoy your videos along with the tips and information you give! I would have cut the Pothos back to the same area you chose. It’ll grow out again and bush up/fill out. Loved seeing sweet Dallas! Many thanks for sharing the process you go through before taking your plants back inside before the colder temperatures arrive. Very informative! 👌🪴🥰

I only put out 5 of my plants this summer. So it should make it a bit easier. One is a huge bop in a 15 gallon nursery pot, this will be my challenging one. Thank you for very informative video

My condolences on hubby hurting his back. I injured mine as a kid and have had life long problems. Dealing with bub's nappy rash is always a challenge. I don't think there's anyone live who never experienced it as a bub! lol One of those inevitabilities I reckon.
I can completely understand not having time to prop chops. The pothos still looked great and as you know, it'll grow back. I sure don't envy folk who live in cooler regions and have to bring their plants in for the winter. I'm in sub-tropical Brisbane, Australia. I've never had to bring plants in. My new collection is an indoor one tho, coz disability, the few things I do have outside doesn't need a lot of attention.
Good luck clearing all the nasties. I'm getting some of those mosquito bits soon. I love using biological control agents against pests. No worries about toxics then.

Hi Sarah, sorry to hear little Dallas and your hubby havent been too well. I love your autumn wreaths, they are so colourful. I think we are all feeling a bit overwhelmed with our plants now that we are heading into the winter and what to do with them. Thanks for sharing 🍂🌿🍂

This was just what I needed! I only have one but I need to start prepping it to be inside. I been nervous about it because it’s my first time having one to bring inside. Also, thank you for the neem oil tip!
When I finish my spray bottle of pre-mix I have now, I will get the concentrated one! That is so smart. loved this video💚💚

It’s a huge task and one I hate doing every year. You can also put sticky traps face down in the soil and that will let you know if you have gnats. Good luck! ❤️

this is the first year that I'll probably need to bring plants inside. I live in zone 9b so I have until mid- December to figure out where I'm going to put my snake plants and spiral ginger on the nights that get below 40. I discovered that mosquitos love amaranth flowers for some reason, it was terrible
