This is a good essay. There are some small things that I disagree with him on, such as why Libertarians are hated, but apart from that I think it is rather accurate. It certainly speaks to a major issue that populism and those on the right who still cling to it have.

Be where you have an advantage friends, resources, knowledge, connections with military class individuals. Access to waterways but also defense from waterways. Farms close by that can be defended most importantly a local group of leaders with real life skills that will remain based when shit truly hits the fan.

Everyone is so done with mass democracy , I am in my early 20s and would be surprised if a system like this exists when I die, Asian countries were actually the first ones to throw the yolk off , although with mixed results most of the countries have transitioned or transitioning to the party state mechanism similar to that of China or Japan . Whether you go to Malaysia Indonesia or India you see a single party consolidating power and permanently gutting leftism . Some more successfully than others the only exception seems to be Korea and Taiwan but they exist under exceptional circumstances of nationalist enemy threat
