One time a detective who worked for the state prosecutors office saw it in our lab and he started “ holy shit we recently had a shooting with a guy shot 4 times “ that must of been the firearm that they used. We thought that it was funny as hell that a Detective 🕵️♀️ in that field of work would come up with such a conversation. So if he thought that don’t feel bad about you thinking it shot all 4 bullets at once.

It was made as a Compact Off-duty Pistol (hence COP) , back in the day cops carried .357 and this was an even smaller option for a backup weapon compared to a snub nose. Interesting idea back in a time when sub compact guns weren't so plentiful.
Whatever anyone says, to me the COP 357 is a very interesting and straightforward design. four shots of three-fiddy seven in the gut or thorax sounds like a great self defence tool. and the no safeties, DAO only action is the safest thing out there. what most people don't understand is the nature of the beast: it isn't something you're supposed to enjoy shooting, but it works.

I have had that gun going on 30 years. It's a tough trigger to pull for the ladies that's for sure and even some of the guys. Everyone I see shooting this gun is using the index finger. I use my middle finger and lay my index finger along side of the barrel. Ever heard of point and shoot. Literally, pointing with the index and squeezing with the middle finger. So much more control. I can shoot .357 loads all day without it becoming a pain. It can fit right in your front or back pocket. Definitely a pocket rocket.
It's built like a small tank...I used to carry it in my back pocket until I dropped it while in the attic in dad's garage...It hit the concrete pretty hard from 8' up and only put a couple of very small dings in it....It's as tough as they come

The trigger is really bad and I've heard that heavy loads are pretty painful with this thing. It probably isn't that bad fro concealed carry, but there are a lot more better options out there that have better triggers and a higher capacity.
Looked like .38 specials, or really lame .357 rounds. Hard to tell, and the shooter failed to disclose this information. Based on the significant LACK of recoil present, I’m assuming they’re .38 special rounds that were shot in this video. .357 Magnum rounds would’ve raised up a bit more, and had a distinctive *POW*!!

IIRC, there's been a least one rigged to fire two barrels at once (the one used in the movie Blade Runner, so as to create a more impressive muzzle flash). Such a modification makes it a machine gun under the NFA, so it has to be registered with the ATF.
if they are are shot at the same time, it is "volley fire" and not a machine gun. A machine gun would be if at 1 press of the trigger, 2 bullets shot one after another. Refer to a current production model: Standard Manufacturing Thunderstruck revolver. Fires a volley (2 bullets of 22 wmr) with one trigger pull.
MATRIX RELOADED!! Saw the gun in that movie used by the Merrill Vinci's wife - she shot her husband's bodyguards with it. Right when i saw that 4 barrel I had to google it and see what was up with that! Awesome looking gun! That's a pretty nice piece to have on the ankle for emergencies!
The recoil doesn't look too excessive, but I can see your hand shake as you attempt to squeeze that heavy trigger. To be honest there hasn't been a derringer I've picked up with a good trigger.
