The song is sung by Elza Soares in a brazilian version of "IN THE MOOD" written by Aloysio De Oliveira, A Razaf, and Joe Garland, but in fact, the original music owns to the great GLENN MILLER. And in my opinion, this music doesn't need any lyric, because it's amaizing in its own.
@DancesportReviews Melia dances here absolutely perfect. And she danced WDC Moscow chapionship like this , just see it. Melia 2011 - is another dancer then in all previous years. She changed absolutly to her great honor. The only way to improve for this perfect 2 guys)) is to change their style of dancing from Slavik's to Bryan's. They should take lessons from Bryan and Carmen. If they will go this way they'll become unbeatable champions. They are of cause now champions in my opinion.
@xyf888 yes i understand what you are saying, personally i see her hips and arms as very believable and readable instead of overdone and match her leg actions very well. Turning is not a big thing for me but the styling of a turn can add alot to a ladies appeal on the floor (e.g. joanna, karina) their style in general is truer to the original taste of the dances i find than some of the other couples
@pokerutti Couldn't agree more - World Championship was absolutely perfect performance - their basic dances just unbelievable, out of this world! However, I don't agree that they have anyone else's style of dancing - and certainly not Slavik's - what a random suggestion to make! They don't copy anyone and do not need to - they have their own style already. They should never change a thing.
@DancesportReviews Well you know people say this for a reason. I feel her foot work and legs are strong enough. It's her hips upwards holding her back. Every arm movement she does is memorized - there's very limited body extension and flow. Everything is very square and put up. And she turns the least in female top pros. Personal opinion.
@@armyblinker2256 It is samba, just the way they approached it was different. In Brazil you are supposed to dance samba like a "malandro" instead of a gentleman. Just remember, is a dance competition not a "gafiera".
at least the music is a very good real samba. very hard to see in ballroom international samba! but the dance hasnt the spirit. There is a specific samba swing. By this I mean not speed or enery or tightness, but the fact that half of the notes in a bar always fall slightly off the beat. To dance it, its not enought to have techic, you have to have ginga, capoeira, bossa... congrats for the couple thought.
Sensacional performance! Saudosa diva Elza Soares👏👏👏
I'd love to be able to dance like that. I usually play instruments to cover up my "dancing abilities". Very lovely to watch. Thank you.
Infinite Peace
