That fridge is way ahead of it's time even by today's standards. I from now on will absolutely hate that I have to move things in front to get the things in the back of a fridge shelf.

I have to brag here if I may. I'm the proud owner of a 1957 Frigidaire Cold Pantry (the year after this one, and they didn't call them refrigerators, they were 'cold pantries'). I've had it for nearly 32 years, and it's still going strong (it's in my kitchen right now, and it's still quiet as a mouse). The 1957 came with one improvement: a removable, washable, lazy-susan for condiments. I've asked around and compared energy usage in mine vs. modern ones - they're about the same, though the modern ones seem to use *slightly* more electricity. They kind of breeze by it in this commercial, but the produce window is a hydrator, meaning all produce should be taken out of its supermarket wrapping (unwashed), and left in the hydrator without concern. My carrots last 3 months, cucumbers up to a month, and mushrooms need no special care but still last 3 weeks to a month. What isn't mentioned here is that every shelf in the main compartment slides out so I can easily find 'the stuff at the back of the fridge' (we all know that problem). Butter and cheese are in climate-controlled compartments that keeps them at 42F and steady humidity at all times. Of course, the butter is always soft and spreadable, but I've never once seen, smelled, or tasted a problem with it - even after nearly a month. I've never had any cheese go bad on me - ever - and I've had stuff like Blue Danish and Red Stilton in there for nearly a year. In fact, cheese aged for a few months in my cold pantry tastes better, in my opinion. The astonishing thing about it is this: it came with a lifetime warranty that is STILL VALID. If it ever breaks down (it hasn't yet), I just ship it to North Carolina at my expense with a follow-up letter that includes a receipt for the shipping costs. Frigidaire, even now, WILL repair it - no questions asked - then they will ship it back at their expense, AND they include a certified check for the amount of the shipping costs. And, oh yes, I bought it in 1993 for a whopping $150.
Man I listen to this kind of stuff to sleep to. Especially the old vintage ads on gasoline stations and air travel, those had long commercials and I love listening to them as they lull me to sleep.
Me: ~does absolutely anything to avoid a 3 second modern ad~
Also me: ~watches a 4 and a half minute long vintage commercial willingly~
I swear the old ones are more fun!!
They focused on keeping our attention with facts instead of flashing lights and pretty colors. Maybe B&W television was better?
My parents had an automatic dishwasher - it was my sister & me!
Holy moly, that removable vegetable hydrator is ingenious! Frigidaire needs to bring some of these designs back on the market!
Great fridge design! They need to bring that back!
Absolutely love it ❤❤❤
It seems more advanced than today’s refrigerators’
Retro style refrigerators are available, but are rather pricey. 💸

She's prettier than Betty Furness. 😉

Why on EARTH did they get rid of the rolling shelf feature in refridgerators??
My bottom freezer Kenmore refrigerator has shelves that roll out.
Most likely for safety since children could get a hold of said shelves, risking injury.

Golly,We never had a refrigerator that cool ( excuse the pun!) growing up in the 70’s and 80s!

Heck, even in 1956 they had more bicycle parking than we do now.
When commercials were documentaries 😮
Is isn't the 1950s, this is the 2050s. The husband is away driving his nuclear-powered automobile
That refrigerator is better than the ones these days
And it's entirely MADE IN AMERICA! 🇺🇸
Shoot all these appliances are better than modern appliances. I want them all. Lol
Frigidaire you are one of the best if not thee best.i love your adds❤❤❤
Back when they were a subsidiary of General Motors.
Am I the only one that listens to this as ASMR?
I only listen to this just to think about how my grandparents experienced kitchen advertising
Came here for the fridge but it got added to my Playlist of gems

How can i find it? What is the model of this ?
Not much different than my daughter's 2017-vintage Frigidaire dishwasher (center-sprayer and bottom-sprayer!)
