I'm so excited you're giving it another try! I didn't expect to fall in love with the common planner the way I did, but it's truly an incredible planner, especially for journaling. And yes, stickers will chunk it up, but it doesn't bother me like I thought it would! That B5 is gorgeous!
I'm really excited as well! I watched some videos and everyone kept saying B5 is so big, but apparently I like a big planner because it didn't feel all that big to me. I'm excited to do more journaling this year, and I may even move my reading into the planner as well - we shall see!
I got the compact version of this today. I can't wait. I love the paper and the cleanliness of the layout. I am a fountain pen lover so this is right for me.
I'm a B5 girl through and through. I'm not the hugest fan of tomoe river paper in general but I adore this layout it reminds me of the Inamio and since they have discontinued their 8 1/2 x11 version I may be getting this instead.
I am very much used to Erin Condren paper - it has been my mainstay for so long, but I think I can make this type of paper work. I do want to do a pen test with my highlighters and the pens I normally use just to see what that looks like. It really is a beautiful planner, and I am so excited about this layout for the new year! Let me know if you decide to get it 😊
I’m so excited to get mine! I also ended up doing a Sterling Ink sticker subscription - their stickers are so beautiful and I thought it would be fun to try out. I am definitely going to need tabs to help me find the right month/day so I’ll be looking for some pretty ones to use. I think I’m most excited about the blank pages - I’m thinking of all the ways I can use it to plan my days and journal.
I agree! The blank pages are absolutely amazing. I think that with the B5 size I will have enough space to get my lists done for the day as well as do some journaling and perhaps even a bit more memory keeping type stuff, we will see. It is going to be a big change from my EC planners, but I am excited!
Thank you for having the Erin Condren there to compare. I was missing the 7x9 Daily Duo. I am tired of carrying two A5 books so I hope this will help. Rachelle in Seattle
What are your thoughts on the paper? I love the setup of this planner but I like thicker paper. I find ghosting distracting. Coming from other planners with much thicker paper, did you find the transition to this paper challenging?
@@debmcgranaghan9600 I do plan to test out some of my pens - I have terrible handwriting, but I do plan to share how the pens and highlighters I use work with the paper. I think it depends on how thick you like your pens. I typically use a finer tip pen, so it may not be as noticeable to me.
I am planning to do a pen test soon! It does remind me of Bible paper as well, but I believe this paper has some special coating so that there isn't bleed through - shadowing, yes, but not bleed through. Last year when I got the B6 sterling ink, I didn't really have any trouble with the pens/highlighters I use in my day to day planning except when i left a marker pen too long on the page by accident. So, I think the paper is pretty good quality, it is just very thin 🤷🏼♀

Just got to your comments on the paper. Would you consider doing a pen test video?

I got SI B5 vertical too! Excited to set it up🎉
Oh fun! Yes, I am super excited to set it up, I have no idea what I am going to do, but I am still excited about it 🤣
Thanks for showing this, I'm very tempted by Sterling Ink. Would love to see a pen test on these pages though as it reminds me of bible paper.

@@Townsendhouse1 amazing thanks. I actually love that it's thin, it has a magical element to it. I'm a bit weird like that hahah. Xx
@@thecannytally I love that you can fit so much in it with the thin pages - that is what is appealing to me for 2025, really simplifying my system 😊
Paper Tess Design have the layout monthly, weekly and daily together
I've never heard of that company! Thanks for mentioning it 😊
@@Townsendhouse1 and they also have the B5
