The Korean Air inflight product appears to be absolutely magnificent.
So far the best Korean Air... maybe all 747-8i business class clip I've ever seen!
I've always liked the colors of Korean Air which have had for so many years, I have a Boeing 727-200 in diecast in this color. Good to see to have the same colors for many years unlike the domestic airlines here in the US.

The reason why the 747 8I didn't do to well in sales is because of the mighty twins 777 and 787. They are both more efficient and cheaper to maintain. 2 power plants are easy to maintain than 4. I still think the 747 is still the most beautiful bird in the sky! The A380 is nasty looking!!

Ricardo Webb plus Airbus a330 is a very popular plane also that compete with boeing 777, most airlines replaces their Boeing 747 with an airbus A330.

Im not sure if its the audio being sensitive but man it sounds loud in the airplane. But I simply can not get enough of the Boeing 747-8!

What a great video. Using a gimbal mount gives it a slick and polished look.
Has to be a fan of planes to show the engines starting up. I'm amazed at how little RPM is needed for take off.
The last time I video'd a flight it was on Hi-8. How technology has advanced.

Can we say the 747's are here to stay? I have been hearing that they are being phased out. I am always fascinated by them. I have even dreamed about them. Boeing plse keep making them.

B747 and A380 my favorite planes. I hate market shifts more to B787 or A350. I wish planes got bigger like flying ships with more public space, less turbulence etc.

I am european but god damn.. Boeing has the most beautiful Jumbo Planes. The A380 pales in comparing with the 747, 777 or 787 Dreamline.
sorry to say that. 7478 always is the queen of the sky while the a380 is the flying pig in the sky.

i doubt it, it seems both the A380 and 747 are becoming outdates for future flights, as everything seems about fuel economy now. At least Boeing can carry on a great legacy with the new 777x though. So looking forward to that!

Cool vid as always. One question: why has the aircraft got to be towed to the gate? I've seen that lots of time but I could never understand why.
Save fuel cost. It was parked somewhere and instead of turning on the engines, it is towed to the gate.
Because for safety reasons. Aircraft like 747, A380, A340, 777-300 are that big, to avoid any collision with other aircraft or gates or fueltrucks and so. An Airbus A319 is easy to between all these A380 and 747 taxiing around. Sorry for my english.

What amazes me is the reliability of those engines, mind boggling figures of times before overhaul - they can be on a wing for over a decade. In the early days when we were used to piston engines the jet would be stripped after a few hundred hours to find it was as new internally. One moving part which rotates - no banging and a thousand parts reciprocating makes for a super reliable engine.
