Riker's feast before going to the Klingon ship was actually sushi. Keep in mind all that sushi was under the hot lights while they were setting up for the scene, rehersal, etc.
I wish I could have been on set to witness that magic. I think it would outshine the show. These actors had great chemistry, and you can see that on the show. They need to do a spoof together. Taking this humor from behind the scenes to the front of it.
I think this cast could talk about funny moments all day. In fact, think about it, lots of people like to talk about the funny moments in their lives. They love those days and love to relive it. I can only imagine the best questions to ask an actor when you have the chance is to get them to talk about funny moments on set. JMS did this when the Babylon 5 were so terrible, he just took over and started asking people about funny moments during the show. Best hour and half I had watching that.

I remember the Calgary Comic Expo was so overcrowded that day they had to get the fire department involved. I ended up not being able to get in but I went to a handful of panels for individual TNG members the day after. They had some phenomenal programming and guests back then, the last couple of years it feels like the London Drugs and Nissan dealership booths are regarded as more of a priority.

acting is a lot like this...99% messing the f around and 1% perfect take that is the final take...they warm up to the scene and set and wiggle around until they find their shape...bloopers are essential...theater is a lot of this in school you gta get rid of that tension and brain static until boom it all just clicks and everyone is in unison perfect
If they had a decent dialogue coach on set they would have told Jonathan to break down a phrase like "it was his assistant" into easy to say SOUNDS, and to forget about saying the WORDS with perfect diction/enunciation. So you break it into two SOUNDS as follows: "waziza," and "sistant." Just say it wasn't me it never was, it wasiza-sistant. The "h" of "his" gets swallowed, but it basically always is when you're speaking that fast.
from watching these interviews, it's becoming clear that Michael and Brent were the biggest instigators behind a lot of the backstage antics.

acting is a lot like this...99% messing the f around and 1% perfect take that is the final take...they warm up to the scene and set and wiggle around until they find their shape...bloopers are essential...theater is a lot of this in school you gta get rid of that tension and brain static until boom it all just clicks and everyone is in unison perfect

If they had a decent dialogue coach on set they would have told Jonathan to break down a phrase like "it was his assistant" into easy to say SOUNDS, and to forget about saying the WORDS with perfect diction/enunciation. So you break it into two SOUNDS as follows: "waziza," and "sistant." Just say it wasn't me it never was, it wasiza-sistant. The "h" of "his" gets swallowed, but it basically always is when you're speaking that fast.
or to simply put a slight pause between his and assistant. Doesn't have to be a long one, just a minor one. enough to separate the two words.
