the most ironic part about this is that the infected (before they were infected) were sent to track down these deserters. so by doing this Ellie made them fulfill their last mission and now they can finally roam in peace.

And here you come, leading a fucking horde back to their hideout like the avenging fist of god. Well done you glorious psychopath.
Actually they aren't WOLF soldiers. They were just survivors. They attacked Ellie bc they thought that Ellie was an WOLF (Or the other faction, i forgot how it was called)
They're wolf's that defected, I think if you search in that room across from where you meet them there's a list with all their names on it, they were supposed to be hunt down in brought back

I'm still terrified of using a workbench from this Jump scare. Even in other games I still get scared.😂 I nearly Jumped 50 feet in the air and I threw my controller in the air when this happened. That guy scared the living daylights out of me. 0:17🤣🤣

I'm mean it would still be scripted but having workbench A, B, and C have random chance for the scripted event to take place while you are on the work bench. Going back to bench A that you were ambushed on your previous playthrough has you paranoid and cautious and then confused . You move on to bench B or C and get ambushed in an area you thought was previously safe from the last playthrough. Keeping you on your toes.
Plot twist Ellie isn't immune. "Ellie" is simply a new being born from a new mutated Cordyceps that became sentient. "She" is merely helping other feral Cordyceps to evolve like her, so she can never be alone.
Does anyone else agree this is a part in the story where Ellie has inevitable blood on her hands bc of killing the wlf soldiers ? I feel like they play a very interesting part in the story , especially them being portrayed younger for some story reason . I also view sephrites as very calming and peaceful, and silent hill in a way. I may be reading too much into it but I would love a spin-off. The fireflies are conversely not as pacifist as they claim to be in a way . Surprisingly their motivations weren't really touched on in this game and ik they're dead and gone but Abby was alot more understanding morally than the actual faction of fireflies.
Yes..some people overlook that Ellie was trespassing in an area she had no business being. She had no excuse to kill all the random WLF. The game wants us to feel this way though. Maybe not at this point in the story, but you’re definitely meant to see Elle turn into the villain.
Is like the first encounter. You have to run as fast as you can from the Soldiers. And then now thinking. You hear the infected. Started shooting at the air and windows to get their attention. And then straightening running back as fast as you can and then lock yourself in a closet or something and then just watching the infected killing the Soldiers
I've found that if you place mines outside the locked door of the room they're hiding in before going to the worktable the guy is blown up before running up on you. The others still approach cautiously. I've tried putting mines from the locked door to within feet of the worktable to blow up the others (including the bathroom and side room). But maybe I put the mines too close to each other, as the other survivers aren't blown up. They either slowly avoid the mines or the mines are all exploded in a domino effect by the first guy.
I did this and put 2 mines down and it blew all of them up. I put the first one right at the door and the other in the entrance of the kitchen. It was crazy that it worked and it was on my first try too lol

Just gonna leave a nice little tip when you go to the tv station and start the first encounter you place one trip wire bomb at the door where the enemy’s enter and it will kill all enemy’s spawned skipping the fight
Its like when myself and other players use the Alien in Alien Isolation to kill the NPC'S that were trying to kill Ripley by making noise to attract the Alien,and watch as sweet chaos takes over while you the player are still alive 😊 Its glorious 😊😊
Fun fact: you can also kill the WLF soldiers by putting a proximity bomb right by the door. Just put the bomb outside the door on the floor, go to the bench and they will come out but they won’t be able to ambush you since right as they exit, the explosion kills them.
The most realistic part of zombie apocalypse is that as anarchy reign supreme your main enemy would be other humans who rival you for food and shelters, not zombies.
You can do a really fun thing in this room. You put a proximity bomb next to the entrance of their room and... voilà ! My last playthrought, a single bomb killed all of them. I could use the bench without even caring ^^
