I feel like it’s only right for you to watch Dope. The Wood and Dope are in the same cinematic universe in terms of characters and storytelling. Even De’Aundre Bonds (Stacy) makes a cameo as the school officer.

This is the movie of my life. I was just like Mike growing up. Fun facts: Rick Famuyima the director of this movie was in the store along with his childhood friends when Roland tried to buy some grits. Malinda Williams who played young Alicia was 29 years old when this movie came out. She is six years older than Stacy played by DeAundre Bonds, 10 years older than Sean Nelson young Mike & older than Sanaa Lathan adult Alicia. I don’t understand why Malinda didn’t play adult Alecia. Can we please get reactions to the following coming of age movies:

The wood is classic you can watch it and laugh to this day 🤣 young slim was funny as hell definitely a 9.5 for me only thing that was crazy is that Alisha grew up and changed skin tones like Tray on boys n the hood 🤣
