    If you want to make this into a dress it would need to have a centre back zip. Can you do a vid on how to do this please? Fantastic series. ❤

    This style of skirt is very flattering! Is there a way to lower where the waist sits? I have a rather high waist and don’t like skirts to sit that high. Thank you for making such a thoughtful series on the building blocks for skirts! I’ve enjoyed each one and hope to see others.

      Hi Heather, so glad to hear you’re enjoying the tutorials! Yes, you can easily lower the waist of the garment. Just offset the waistline by the amount you want and draw it like that. So if you want to lower it by 5cm, just offset the waistline by 5cm. The waist darts will get shorter as a result of this too. Hope that’s helpful!

    I am hooked! However I am a little stuck..... How do I adjust the flared A-line skirt into a wrap skirt? I watched the wrap skirt video but it's missing the flare..... Can you please point me in the right direction? Thank you!!!

      The method of creating a wrap skirt is the same, no matter what the shape of the block you start out with. So, draft out the flared skirt first, and then use the principles shown in the wrap video to adapt the block into a wrap skirt. Can’t wait to see you version - make sure you share your creation on our Minerva website 😊

    Thank you for this series. Just a quick question, for this skirt where you add 2.5 cm to the side seam, would that measurement still be the same if it was a maxi skirt?

    • @MinervaDotCom
      @MinervaDotCom  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! We would recommend you still add the 2.5cm to the side seam at the knee. Then continue to extend that side seam line to the hemline, keeping the angle the same all the way down.
