Just have a small doubt langchain agents can also loop back in thought, action and observation cycles, then why are they considered DAG?

DAG is not for that... it is just for chaining through LCEL , and in agentexecuter or specific agent class we don't have low level authority to change many things that's why we prefer langgrpah
