@@That1ne92 The North is roughly starting from Chester in the West (bit below Liverpool), going up through Sheffield and continuing along that line until the east coast (Grimsby-ish area).
It's kind of a mix of geographical and economic (North-South divide that you'll hear about a lot in England is the economic divide between the two).
But you're totally right about the other stuff, Manchester/Liverpool are serious. It's not street gangs stabbing kids like London estates, it's organised crime and real shit
